You guys weren't lying about taste change

When I first joined snuson I kept reading "if you don't like a certain snus don't throw it out throw it in the fridge/freezer and revisit it in a few weeks/months and see what you think" yada yada.. It's true!!

I tried Ettan one of my try out orders and liked it okay.. But it was a bit boring to me and put it in a bag in the fridge and went on with my mint madness (with goteborgs rape thrown in here and there) I just pulled it out for the heck of it and it's as if I've never tried it in the first place. I can appreciate the pure tabacco flavor with a hint of chocolate I think? It tastes incredible. So you all were right on that one. It has even extended to food. There is a spaghetti sauce i really liked when I smoked. I had it again last week and could swear something was wrong with the batch it tasted sour to me. My wife a nonsmoker told me it allways tasted that way. Go figure. Anyways you guys were right on the taste thing.

Jakobsson's Ice Fruit was like this for me. Initially it was ok - now, it's a favorite.

Your getting it - pretty soon the flavored stuff will seem pretty yucky! The only snus I like that is flavored is Oomph but it seems very light to me.

Yeah flavors do change a little.

Originally I didn't really like Grov at all.. Too smokey, now it's not so bad and it doesn't seem much different from the less smokey tobacco flavoured snus I have.

You'll notice a lot of that happening up to a few months after you quit smoking. Your sense of taste and smell come back really strong. For me, my sense of smell came back crazy strong. One day, I knew someone was sneaking a smoke outside the dock doors on the other side of my factory. That's when it hit me that it really was all coming back.

Oh yeah, my sense of smell is crazy good now. Several months after I quit smoking, I started noticing that perfumes that I once hated as a smoker, now smelled incredible to me. I guess I could pick up on the more subtle nuances of the fragrance, with my new found super power, lol. There have been several instances that went the other way too, something I loved the smell/taste of as a smoker...I now hate.

My inlaws smoke a lot, in the neighborhood of 4 packs/day between them. My kids will go to visit them a couple times a week, and when they come home is smells like they forced my kids to rub cigarette ashes all over them. It's horrible to me, especially knowing that I once smelled exactly like that. I am not and will not be one of those dickhead ex smokers though....I hate those assholes. I will kindly offer snus and give the "snus talk", lol

edit: My father in law has drastically cut his smoking with Jakobsson's Wintergreen, he loves it. I'm hoping that he'll quit altogether. My mother in law and brother in law are the main smoking culprits in this story.

just wait till you go thru menopause.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Oh definitely on the smoke smell man. I never, ever noticed how pervasive the after-smell was when I smoked. Now, people totally reek when the come back in to work after having a cig outside. It's crazy how you don't even notice it when you smoke. My mom used to think i was sneaking smokes in the house just cause my clothes smelled like it so bad. I used to think she was f'ing crazy, but now that I don't smoke, I can totally see it.

You are definitely correct on that one. Even some of my cloths that I wore when I smoked, even though they have been washed 100s of times since I quit, I can still smell a faint smoke smell on them. I also agree that I used to think people were a**holes when they would react when I would come in from smoking, now I can smell them 5 feet away. I hate sounding like a non-smoker lol

Since I quit smoking I took up walking, because now I can without huffing and puffing. The other day I smelled cigarette smoke outside. The lady smoking was at least 25 feet away and downwind. Its amazing how your nose really tunes into that smoke smell. I had to throw some clothes away because I can't wash the smell out anymore. I think on some level I smell smoke more than I would as a non smoker, because my brain immediately recognizes it. But my sense of smell and taste has definitely changed.

Have you tried a Liquid Laundry Detergent with Febreze?
Tide makes one and there must be others.

I know that Febreze Sprays work for a touch-up on
clothes, furniture, curtains, as well as an air freshener.
