    Keeping Gotlands together

So I ordered my first can of Gotlands los and although handbaking is fine, is there virtually any way to keep the thing together when you use an icetool? It simply will not stay in one piece.

Granted I know Gotlands is drier. And it expired a week after I received it (was in the freezer for a couple, now it's out, and expired). I just don't want to hand bake EVERY time, at least if I'm out somewhere and I feel like having some los.

It stays in 1 place for me. It doesn't stay together, but it stays in 1 place.

+1 on this. A prilla might break up on me, but it usually will stay in my gum pocket, unless it's a huge prilla. How long have you been using los? Have you developed the gum pocket yet? If not, los can be a bit more tricky, well...it was for me before my pocket developed. Now, no issues and I use as much los as I do portions, if not more. Keep working with it, and you'll find that it will become easier and easier with each prilla

No, I've been snusing for about 6 months now. I don't have problems with los, it's just that the end of the pris for Gotland using an icetool always breaks up whenever I try. Meh, whatever, I'll just hand bake it.

I use a 3ml Icetool w/ Gots los on a pretty regular basis without a problem. It sort of turns into a blob eventually, but the blob stays in place. You could try packing it tighter...
            and stop playing with it...

gotlands los is my least favorite los just for the reason it breaks up easily....taste is ok. when i use it with my icetool, i have to leave it be for about 15 to 20 minutes before i tounge it. if not, it all over the place. i have 4 cans on the exchange.

For me, it's pretty much like any other lös except more challenging to handbake. If i use a tool: ghetto tool or prismaster, it stays together just fine as long as i don't mess with it. Let it sit there and work it's magic. It's one of, if not, the best lös out there.

As long as i don't play it with it, it stays put and keeps it's shape just fine.

I haven't tried gotlands lös... Northerner messed up and sent me portions instead.. But usually after awhile of Lösing you will develop a "pocket" as some have said and even if the prilla breaks up a little it will stay in place.

If you don't pack the Icetool tightly, Gotlands works better.

Like when I hand bake it, I barely form a pris. It's more of a lightly shaped pinch. Compressing it too much will cause it to fall apart. I almost never use my Icetool anymore, but it is a wonderful tool and I do use it in situations where my hands should not touch my snus.

Try filling the Icetool with the Gotlandssnus and compressing it against your finger until you feel that there are no air pockets in the Icetool but before you squeeze any juice out of it. If you wind up with brown on your finger, you pressed too hard.

Also, if you squeeze it too hard with your lip before it sets up, it may crack and fall apart.

Good luck and experiment with it a little and you'll find your groove.

I always squeeze a little juice out and some snus I squeeze more juice out, but after about 5 minutes in my mouth I squeeze a little with my lip to soften it up a slight bit.
