OR vs. Skruf Cran?

I use OR Cran daily. Sometimes a portion, sometimes a piece of loose. Sometimes all day, sometimes just once. I am curious as to what the skruf cran tastes like in comparison. I find the OR snus to be a nice mellow (natural) tobacco taste with a nice hint of cranberry. It isnt overly sweet. Is the skruf the same way? or is it more candy?

I haven't tried the OR yet. There's a can in the freezer, but I'm not too excited about getting it out. The Skruf Tranbar I found to be fairly subtle with the Cranberry flavor, and I didn't find it too sweet. Skruf isn't really my favorite brand, so I'm not the best judge. I'd be happy enough if it were the only brand out there, but there's several I like better.

Oh, man. I've got Skruf Cranberry included in my order. When my package gets here, I'll definitely try to tell you how I feel about the two of them. Don't know how much you'll trust my judgement, though, as I'm a snus-newbie :wink:

I've now had both the OR and the Skruf cranberry. I didn't like that the OR was too sweet and that the cranberry flavor was too strong; but I actually liked it more than the Skruf. The Skruf cranberry tasted bitter, almost medicinal to me--not very enjoyable. I didn't really get any sort of cranberry flavor either, just that bitterness. I'll definitely finish the tin, though, so as not to have it go to waste.

All of the Skruf snus I've had has a certain bite to it that I'm not crazy about. I like it ok, but I'm glad there's other snus out there.

I forget, have you had the Goteborgs Rape #2 yet? If not, I think that may work better for a berry fix. It's the best berry flavor snus I've had so far.

The Tranbar is not my favorite. It tastes like stark with an artificial cranberry taste that I can't stand. I second the Goteborgs Rape @2. Now there is a snus I love.

Both brands are worth a try. Skruf Cranberry tastes like typical snus with a somewhat artificial, yet pleasing cranberry aroma. Offroad Cranberry tastes more natural with some kind of a chewing-tobacco taste, quite unique.

I personally prefer Offroad Cranberry. It's in a different class than some of the other Offroad brands, so even someone who doesn't like other Offroad brands really should give Offroad Cranberry a try.
