    More Leakly Ziploc Vacuum Bags

    -

I found I have more of the Ziploc Vacuum bags that have lost
    air.

Will my snus still be good after a year and a half with leaky bags?
I assume it's still better than with no bags?

I'm aware of the packing tape fix. I may try it.

Just curious as to how the snus will hold up as it is in
somewhat leaky bags? My temp is 10 degrees below
    0 Fahrenheit.

    thank you

It should hold up ok. I don't vacuum pack mine and they're fine. Maybe not /quite/ as good as brand new, but close enough.

I've noticed mine leak some.. I pump out the air so it's tight.. Can't move the cans.. A few days later they are a bit loose.. Have to pump again.. The quart bags hold the air better for me. I remember when I was reading the archives that sage posted that he never used baggies just threw the cans in loose and they were fine. I'm just paranoyd and want extra protection.

Fart in them then throw in an open tin of General Wintergreen and you'll have you some greAt snus to enjoy in a week or so. No refrigeration required!

-Joe, were you drunk when you posted this? Shouldn't it be in "Tips n Tricks"?

Ok thanks. We got two serious answers here.

My quarts are leaking more than my gallons. I think
it's bending the lip part of the bag the way they are packed.

Oh well. I'm sure not going to spend $150 for a good sealer
when I got a freezer for that price.

Joe, I usually buy a year's supply at a time. No vacuum sealing just zip-locks and freeze.

I haven't noticed any loss of quality.

Also keep in mind that I will supplement the order throughout the year with something new I want to try or a brand I haven't had for a while. Thus I am often going from old stock to newly ordered snus without noticing a change in quality.

Due to PACT, I currently have ~ a 2 year supply. That is more than I would normally carry but based on my yearly orders, I expect it to hold up without too much loss.

I am going to assume that the Magnums will be reserved for sterks.

All but like 1 or 2 of my vacuum bags leaked. I put tape on all the valves, but I need to check to see if that technique is working.

Let us know. I read of one review somewhere that said that failed too.
                            That was only one person.

I just have all my cans in the freezer bare.

I thought about getting the vacuum ziplocks, but I probably won't now.
