Deciphering Snus Best By/Expiration Dates

good idea with the ground beef. i lace all snus i send out to people for trades or put in box passes with date rape drugs. its kind of a long distance rape thing im workin on. i havent actually worked out the rape end of it, i guess all i can do is hope they end up raped when the drugs kicked in.

on a serious note, this was the first can I decided to work on from my new order.. Göteborgs Rape no2 to be exact.. its amazingly good.. but I suspect by the end of the can.. I will hate it...

Chadhawk - I agree with you on the Göteborgs Rape no2. It's not bad every now and then but the flavoring does get old by the end of the can. I threw away my last 5 portions of No2 because they just sat in my fridge for weeks. It was the same way with General Mint. It was nice for a while but got old quickly. One thing I do notice is that I do not get tired of the regular stuff. My first Swedish Snus was General OP and I still enjoy that snus today and will gladly use it as an all day type of snus. Stock up if you do find a brand that you like as the PACT Act may make buying snus much more expensive next month depending on where you live.

I agree with the Goteborgs 02 comment, the taste was nice at first, but, that smell of it, ugh... fashdkasdf. Normal Rape is certainly fine with me Just got 5 rolls from Northerner! Buy 40 cans get 10 free.

I had to open this thread because I have never received an expired can from Getsnus and/or Northerner, not even when I purposely ordered discounted 'near-date' Elixyr! I had to see who got an expired can and now understand it was just a mistaken date reading. Anyway, glad to hear that was the case and welcome Chadhawk..I already like you from your first posts!

Three days to expiration

Lucky me, the wife and I were running errands so I decided to pick up 2 cans of general mint large portion from a cigar shop in the area. When I got home I remembered to check the date (remember I'm still in the habit from buying cigs to not worry about dates) and I see 6-15-10! The little general fridge in the shop seemed in order. I'm going to throw one can in the freezer. I've read that snus in Sweden is considered a food product, as in the US when it says best by date it isn't really expired but the quality may be a little off? By the way 8 days off the cancer sticks and I feel great about it

I would like to know the same thing. I just received a shipment from Northerner and 5 of the 10 cans are past the "best by" date, some by a month and a half. Are they okay for consumption and is this normal for that supplier?
