Little off topic: My nicotine buzz lasts only 3-6 minutes, even the first in the morning(Thunder ES Frosted). I get the impression that people have / get the buzz for ATLEAST 30 minutes?

It sounds like your body has acclimated itself to the nic hit. Once the buzz wears off, it doesn't mean you're not getting the Vitamin N --- just that your body is used to it and there's no need signaling that you indeed are experiencing it -- kinda like timed-release.

In all cases, it's best to remember YMMV.

I am not so sure that a "nicotine buzz" should be a goal we should strive for. My thinking is that the more you use, the more your body will tolerate and you will get in some kind of viscous cycle where nothing but a sterk will satisfy your craving. I think the best thing to do is use just enough nicotine to feel normal again. I use 1 regular portion in the morning, 1 regular portion at night and then mini's all day. You might have to go off or cut way back on nicotine for a few days before you can do this. The other thing to remember is that it takes time for the nicotine to kick in especially with snus.

Yeah the buzz goes away when your tolerance gets used to your dosage. Everyone is different and have different metabolism rates, so just figure out what works best for you. Chasing the buzz doesn't work for me because I get a headache and start feeling tired if I get too much. But there's no way I could just do mostly minis without going through withdrawls. Some day I might cut down, but I'm still proud of quitting cigs even if it was easy

Oh yeah, Vegan is right about it taking time to kick in. Mine peak aroud 15-20 minutes. I keep them in about an hour.

I usually have 4 cans open at once. Right now I have 5 open 'cos I needed a little more pleasure in my life so I cracked a can of Claq Qui which always makes me happy. Now that it's not made anymore it's even better of a treat.

So I usually have one sterk (I'm happy w/ N&J but I do switch it up) which lasts me 2-3 weeks.
I always have a Grov open usually white portion but I think I'm gravitating towards OPs again.
I always have a los open too. lasts me a month and once I open it I use it 'till it's gone. If I can't decide what to open it will be Taboca as I think it's the best los.
Then I have one other can going. Right now it's been Ettan, or 01, or Goat, and now that I have a rediculous stash it'll pretty much be this. It's enough variety for me but I'd be content w/ Grov and N&J alone. The rest is just 'cos I can.
If I was relegated to General only it would take a lot of getting used to. I like the los best, then the sterk or ES, then OP then WP.

I get a nic buzz in the AM and only every now and again in the day/evening. It's not really a buzz but it's a noticeable introduction of nic. Sometimes I don't even like it but in the mornings I love it.

One thing that is a guilty pleasure for me is allowing myself at times to be at a point where I start craving the nic.. Just a little and once the portion or quick toot of snuff takes effect I have a relaxing feeling. I don't know if you would consider that a buzz. Satisfaction if you will. With cigs I felt guilty every time I went outside.. Considering I was shortening the time I had with my son and wife in a sense. I know snus and snuff aren't 100 percent safe. But it's damn near close.
