For American snusers... Triumph snus.. any thoughts?

Just picked up my first can of Triumph snus. Flavor is good but it doesn't have any kick to it. Also, the carryout where I bought it doesn't keep it refrigerated and it is a little pricier (about $5/can). From what I understand it is made by Swedish Match and is imported by an U.S. tobacco company. I am hoping that this is an opportunity for SM to get their foot in the door and soon start selling real snus here in the US. I wonder if it has anything to do with the rumor that Phillip Morris is trying to buy out Swedish Match or if SM is taking the marketing of snus one step further than PM.

Long story short, the snus is way better than Camel and Malboro but not as good as snus I get shipped from Sweden.

Anybody else try the Triumph snus? Any thoughts?

They already do (on a small scale though): http://www.swedishsnus.com/US/storelocator.asp

    Cheers!

Correct. Not only can I buy General and CatchDry Peppermint at my nearby Tobacco Depot in Florida, but it's been $2.75 a can (introductory price) for about six months. I pick up a couple of cans each weekend. Much cheaper than buying from the Net (although I buy other brands from Northerner or buysnus).

I have never had the Triumph, but I understand that the original portion is decent. You mentioned that they are not keeping them refridgerated? I hope that they are white portion. White portions dont do terribly bad left out from what I have read.

For me, personally, I do not think I will ever find an American branded snus that will do it for me. I prefer los (which I doubt an American brand will ever market) and all the snuses that are released here seem to be way too "candy" for my tastes. Always mint or menthol, sweet or sweeter. BLAH!

Yes, the Triumphs are white portion. It was my starting point for snus, and after trying others it is very sweet in comparison. It is available in mint and natural, and the mint is far too sweet. It is a lot better in comparison to the Camel, so it's nice to have another substitute.
