Well I guess the venal lying bastards who promoted PACT finally got me. Being of extremely modest means I can no longer justify buying snus online. In the quantities I can afford to order I'm looking at upwards of seven bucks a can and thats just unacceptable. So I'm switching largely to snuff. Way cheaper on a daily/monthly basis than snus although perhaps not quite as satisfying to me.
Yeah snus is still cheaper than cigs but one of the primary reasons I used snus to quit the sticks was the greatly increased expense of my wife's medical bills. That situation will obtain for the foreseeable future and so it appears that for the most part snuff will have to do although that's not much of a hardship since I've come to like it so much--[I]especially[I] the fabulous Indian rose snuff I obtained recently.
I can get four cans of snus shipped to me for between $26 and $31 which is about a month's worth at a stretch. For that money I can lay in enough snuff to last me at least four or five times as long. Maybe I'll supplement with Camel Robust, which I just tried and it's not great but not terrible, from time to time. When and if the real deal becomes available in this clueless cultural backwater then I'll indulge as finances permit but I will not order a product online where the shipping routinely costs more than the product.
I will certainly be a frequent poster here but largely on things snuffy, and of course cultural and political unless the suffocating dead hand of regulation shuts us down as too politically incorrect to be permitted to continue existing.
Finally any snuser, snuffer, dipper, chewer, or pipe smoker who ever pulls a Dem. lever in a voting booth again is a damned fool. Sure sure the Reps. may not be a great deal better but they at least verbally object to the Progressives' maniacally obsessive need to nano-manage every aspect of our lives of which the draconian regulation of tobacco is but a small example.
