    “Custom made portion/pouches”

I was wondering if anyone else has ever tried making their own portions from loose snus. In a long run you’d save money making your own. You get 45+ grams for loose, opposed to 24+ in portioned snus.

I’ve used coffee filters cut out nicely with scissors then folded them up for a decent portion a few times. But there’s gotta be something better to use.. maybe even some kind of cloth?

Anyone else have a better solution for custom made pouches? (material wise) & also your thoughts on this idea

Portions are made with teabag material, which I think you can find at speciality tea shops if you're keen to try it out.

applejacks, you might even find teabags in some supermarkets. I tried only once to make my own portions but wasn't lucky with the outcome.

Our member ringdoc though has made some very nice portions (they look better than the original ones): http://www.snuson.com/viewtopic.php?p=6243#6243

      Cheers!

Those homemade portions do look very nice indeed. I may try it when my first ever lös (Skruf Stark) comes in the mail.

But after cutting the bags into smaller pieces, how do you seal them so the snus doesn't just spill out?

The moisture in the snus should make the material stick together. It won't take as much abuse as a factory made portion, but as long as you leave it in place it should stay together.
