I would say so. Take for instance Los from SwM being in Paperboard containers, and the 1847 being switched from tin to plastic when they took it from PMI. I think the fact that this is being done in the metal tins is to directly compete against Camel. Just my assumption.

Lets skip the tin - if Camel actually started to make a decent snus I would buy it even if it were wrapped in toilet paper.

So this snus is going to be exclusive to the U.S. market?

I know that. But it's Spice Cinnamon. I do like it on occasion.

However I was a candy Cinnamon snus!

But still, you can't deny a lot of the marketing is in the tin. What's the coolest part about Lucky Strike? The tin. To date - what is the best Snus tin ever made? (IMO, if course - 1847, the old sleek tin). That's a big part in the appeal of a high dollar tin. People don't buy General Los because of the cheap paperboard container. They buy it for the quality. A mint Snus aimed at the US to compete with an established product like Camel would need to turn heads. Honestly, did anyone ever look at a can of General and say, "OMG that's soooooo hot!!!!!"? Haha, probably not

                    Agreed. 110%.

Not sure, but I would assume it's going to have a presence. The OriginalPursuit.com folks have been saying "something big is coming to the US...", this may be it. Just a guess though.

That is great in the short term. I have bought Camel snus before because the tin looks nice. The problem is that I won't buy it again after tasting it. What really counts is when people say OMG that's soooooo hot after they have put a portion in their mouth.

I always though Mocca Pomegranate tasted like red hots.

Which is why I don't think General Mint can compete. It's got a great taste, but the "Meh" tin isn't going to move product.

I might have to try that then. Is it still available to the US?
