New snus coming soon - Catch Pure Mint!

Swedish Match is releasing a new mint snus, and it's not just any old mint. The new Catch Pure Mint snus is going to be a white portion but in the longer, slim fit that we know and love from the 0102 line. The top of the can describes it as, "A careful selection of our finest tobacco, blended to perfection with cooling peppermint." Catch Pure Mint is also going to come in 7mg of nicotine, so it's going to be up there with General Mint and other regular portions. What's it taste like? Well, it's going to lean more closely to General Mint than Catch Collection//Fresh Peppermint from last year. I'm not going to make any assumptions but with a cool can, a slim fitting portion, and the taste of mint, it looks like SwM may be putting on their gloves to do battle in the US. Is this the "big surprise" the OriginalPursuit folks have been talking about? Who knows. But I look forward to seeing, it will be available for release in early August, 2010.

oh boy tons of mint and lower nicotine. i think sm is getting americanized nicely. throw on the mint until the tobacco can't be tasted, lower the nic so that cig smokers can use it without quitting cigs and last but certainly not least change the shape of the portion. they should call this one something like newport snus. oh wait it's mint and not menthol, well who cares anyway

Can't say I'm excited by this.

Don't like white's generally, don't like mint-flavour snus and 7mg nicotine just wouldn't touch the sides for me.

Give me a stark classic Swedish, brown portion, salty tobacco tasting snus any day, maybe with a couple of underlying subtle flavours but that's about it for me.

I'm interested in it. If it doesn't have sweetness, I could see it being a regular(as regular as portions are with me anyway). If it's sweet though, I don't want it.

It's why I like Metropol mint so much. Not overly sweet. Still minty. The Catch Peppermint from early last year was like that. Good salt balance, minty taste, not too sweet, nice kick to it.
