Yeah, have a smoke if you want. When that same urge hit me, I did and hated it. It validated my reasons for wanting to quit in the first place. Go ahead, the cigs don't own you anymore...

I've had the urge pick up a pack of menthols lately. I smoke a cigarette every few days or so, but I haven't had a menthol in a couple of years. Maybe I'll grab a pack of Kools this weekend :^)

Yeah I don't even like cigs anymore, I only smoked a couple a day when I did anyways. I thought of quitting dip at college because of my gums, it was the easiest thing ever I have a can of cope straight lc, and I've had one pinch, I think part of my dipping at home was just conditioning to go outside play with the dogs and dip or chew.

That was the first cigarette I smoked regularly. A menthol's a menthol to me. If I'm only smoking 1, they all taste fine. I only notice a difference when smoking a bunch. Players were my favorite menthol for flavor, but they'd leave my throat raw at the end of the day.

I'm on my 5th month smoke free, and I've had a few moments when I wanted one, but never bad enough to actually smoke. I would think the experience would be pretty nasty now that you've been away from them for a few months. So, yeah, I say have one if you really need it, but like others have said, I think you will wonder what you ever liked about them in the first place.

              Good luck!

My brother used a carton of Kools to quit smoking after college. I alswys thought that was a pretty cool way to quit smoking. Just buy a carton of Liggits or Basic Ultra Light 100's and smoke 'em tough.

That could backfire. You get to the 5th pack or so, and think "Hey, these aren't so bad, and I'm saving money!" :^D

Because it's my birthday weekend, I grabbed a pack of the Hav-A-Tampa filtered little cigars.

It wasn't too bad, nothing I would buy again anytime soon.

LX, have you tried any of the menthol filtered mini cigars?

                          Happy Birthday!!

I tried some about... Jeeze, 25 years ago now, and I wasn't too impressed. They were ok, but not a replacement for cigarettes. I may like them better now, since I'd only be smoking 1, but it's hard to say. The ones I tried(White Owl maybe?) were too "dark" and heavy in flavor. They also kind of rasped my throat, and I felt like I was coming down with a cold, if that makes sense.

I gave up most of my cigarettes when I went over to snuff, but there were still times when the nicotine cravings got the better on me and I occasionally broke. Using snus I have now been abstinent from cigarettes for 2 weeks, even with a family court issue and my daughter going back to her mum's. I had one cigarette about a week ago, but hated the taste and the smell on me (my sense of taste is coming back really quick, something that was an issue whilst I snuffed heavily). I really think I've got the smoking thing cracked now, but one day at a time eh?!
