Is there any similar snus to Skruf Stark in the SM line up?

Hi could anyone let me know what the nearest product that SM do to Skruf Stark. Been a favourite in the mornig for the last few weeks, but I'm having the last one now. As I am as skint as the next man I am getting a VIP membership and taking advantage of the really cheap snus on offer, and don't want to ordera roll of snus that I don't like. I can keep in a skruf stark for over 2hours without the flavour ever getting overpowering and N&J is not really to my taste as the flavour gets too strong too quick.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks Steve

General Sterk portion and loose are similar in strength although the flavor is somewhat more bergamot oriented than Skruf. Grov Black is another sterk that deserves a try.

The only one I found very similar in taste was one of the Thunder Test series, but I can't remember which one. Maybe OT2?? Skruf ES is always in my rotation, but other than the whatever Test sample, I haven't found anything.

I enjoyed the Grov that was in the sample box, but Grov Black has been getting me curious. So long as it is not too salty - some is good but now I'm getting my taste buds back I've found a few a bit unpleasant.

I don't like grov too much but I like skruf. Honestly I know you said you didn't like n&j too much but it is pretty close.

I've never had general es or sterk portions though so I can't vase anything on them.

I find Grove OP much too salty, Grov WP less so, Grov Lös heavenly in every respect, and Grov Black to be entirely dissimilar to all the rest--a strong hint of anise initially but quickly settling down to a robust relatively un-salty, long lasting, and decently strong nic-wise experience. Grov Black bears little relationship to the rest of the family, and one wonders why it even has the name Grov on it, but it's extremely worthwhile on its own merits.

I'll dig the N&J out of the freezer and give them another go, however I had to chuck em around half an hour in, and the skruf stark would just settle in and keep the old nicotine cravings at bay for up to 3 hours. I can't handle anything too heavy in the morning but need a fix lol !

That was the feeling I got after a while. Salt is a great flavour enhancer but you can soon ruin anything if you go too far. Its a fine line. I used to be a chef and understand about using salt to its advantages. Its all about balance

Skruf is pretty distinctive in flavor. I haven't had a snus from any manufacturer that I thought was that close. The closest imo would be Phantom Brown lös, but not really.

I think I'll take a gamble on the Grov Black and put 5 cans on the silver vip order. Its going to be 10x General Onyx, 10 Rape No 2 WP, 10 catch Pure Mint and 5 grov black, a good enough mix to get me going. I enjoy mixing it up a bit so I don't tire of a flavour, even though I have a few other favourites that I'll order for when I'm in the mood that aren't SM from Northerner. The top 10 snus sampler from northerner was a good introduction into snus and now I know what I do and don't like so have avoided being waist deep in unloved snus

'Aint that the truth LX. As bad as their QC gets I still keep going back as I can't find anything similar to switch to that I want to chain-snus all day long. I live in hope their QC will improve and the portions get back to what they used to be like in the good old days.

Skruf Stark is the one high nicotine snus that I tried that was smooth and even over the 2 to 3 hours I left it in. I'll probably get a few cans in as if I only use 1 or 2 a day they will last quite a while. I am saving money on rolling tobacco after all so why not treat myself with a small northerner order. GotGreen are probably are going to be added to the order 2 finding it a pleasant change.

Must be nice! The American version of mixing it up is Jaks and Gotlands Green.

I may stick a few of my SM snuff on the exchange, I'm really quite enjoying the Gotlands green so someone surely would be up for it, assuming tax and laws and otherwise don't contradict between the UK and the USA

I love Grov WP, I have 2 rolls of Black too. It's OK but I like the WP more. I did not realize the Black was a sterk, cool, was thinking I was out of sterks.

Imperial Tobacco is the parent company of Skruf (pronounced 'Skroof' and Knox brands of Swedish snus. Skruf is probably the second most popular snus brand in Sweden and one of the top most popular snus brands in the growing American market.

Skruf was started by two life long friends who saw an opportunity to make a big future for a small product - Jonas Engwall and Adam Gillberg.

Life long friends and entrepreneurs, Jonas and Adam, sat down in 2001 to discuss how they could use their skills gained in the world of finance to build a business in an area they were passionate about.
