When it comes to Skruf, most of the portions are pretty dry (including Original and Tranbar). The Xtra Stark has a very high moisture content, so if they seem dry you should contact the online store you purchased them from.

well i e-mailed buysnus regarding this issue. they just told me to contact the manufacturer which would probably get me nowhere. i guess in reality im playing russian roulette with my money when it comes to getting snus online. oh well, guess ill steer clear of the skruf brand from now on out. i will say this again, when a portion of what is supposedly "the worlds strongest snus" does next to nothing for me buzz-wise, and other extra strength snus such as odesn and thunder get me pretty buzzed, i know for certain that something is wrong with the can of skruf.....

I tried mailing Skruf too. I got one reponse when they asked where I had purchased the snus from which I replied to but heard nothing further.

I did try e-mailing them again but no answer.

I kind of gave up after that.

I got the same thing six months ago. The portions were moderate moisture and didn't taste very strong. The skruf stark los was delicious but thinking back it wasn't that strong I figured that was because of tolerance but who knows. All of my portion snus is pretty dry I think even thunder long and strong.

Interesting to read this, as I've been considering trying Skruf as my latest batch of Thunder has suffered the same. It's dry, very little flavour, bitter aftertaste and nowhere near as punchy as it should be. I'm 4 cans into a 10 roll and they've all been the same. I'm thinking they may have to be scrapped, as it's become a pretty unpleasant snussing experience.

I'm going to avoid Skruf too on the basis of this thread, and stick to General White from now on as I've never had a bad can of that. Maybe it travels better? I dunno.

I had a few cans maybe 3 months back that were the same way. Skruf Sterk OP, dry and with almost no flavour. I really enjoyed the first can I had, but since then it just hasn't been worth re-ordering.

I'm really happy with Gotlandsnus portions now though - the can style seems to make a huge difference in keeping the snus fresh.

im almost hesitant to even order anymore snus online. i still get a pretty good buzz and flavor from my thunder and oden's portions, and the buzz isnt bad on the weaker brands if i put in two portions at once. i just have a paranoid feeling that if i go and buy somewhere between 50-100 $ in snus (shippings almost as much as the total price of the snus lol!), that for some reason some of my snus could be dried out or tainted in some way, and there goes more money down the drain. im enjoying my other brands though, its a shame too because i read a lot of good things and high enthusiasm/appreciation for the skruf brand while i was researching snus. one things for sure, i dont wanna go back to nasty american chew...

I tried another one of my aforementioned cans of refrigerated Thunder yesterday, just to see if it the earlier one was a bad can. The portions were dry as hell, and I only had one in for five minutes, got next to no nicotine hit and the bitter taste made me feel sick. The whole can got binned there and then.

The Thunder Original Mini+ I received from getsnus about two
weeks ago had a Best before 02 jun 2011 and they're mighty fine.

Maybe ginning yours (or spritzing with anything) would have
saved you from binning the can's worth.

Maybe, yeah. I still have 6 cans left and it would be a real shame to have to get rid of them all. I'll have to look into the ginning/spritzing thing. Is there a thread about it on here?
