I just checked their website after remembering about this soon-to-be new snus and I see they've updated their nebulous announcement to say that it will be coming out in the second quarter of 2008! C'mon Gotlands! I'll buy a roll sight unseen (taste untasted?) because I know it's going to be awesome! Can't wait for this one

I thought the exact same thing :^) I'll definitely buy a roll without trying it first.

Xobeloot, I'm betting that it'll have more of a "pure" tobacco taste as compared to their other products. That's something they don't have in their current lineup, and the package graphics have a traditional look to them.

Was just about to say the same thing. The design looks very oldschool/traditional, so I'm expecting a very nicely crafted, old-world, pure and plain snus. From Gotlands, I'm anticipating a brilliant, quality snus. They haven't said much about it yet, though - the only thing the site used to say was "We are making a wonderful new snus in 2008 called Jakobssons - it will open your eyes and your upper lip!" :lol:

I am starting to wonder if this will be released at all. They keep moving the date further and futher back. I love Gotlands products so I have high expectations of this one.

I don't want something to make me feel more youthful... I'm ****ing 19 years old, I feel plenty youthful as it is. I don't want any weird flavors. Give this here youngster a pure tobacco, back to the basics, high quality snus.

No caffeine, no "exotic flavors," no hip packaging, no gimmicks. Give me that old time tobacco... it's good enough for me.

I wouldn't expect them to step outside of their mold. They are the only producer offering uber-unique products while style and class.

I wish they would come out with their own Ettan/General rival, but I don't see that coming.

I expect some sort of dazzling flavor that I can only use as a niche snus like all the others they make. I know you all love it as a daily, but just too much for my daily tastes.
