Here's the reasons I stay away from them...

Mini - I don't really dig minis

Dry - I don't really dig dry

Purified - I don't want high tech tobacco. I like my snus old school, or at least old schoolish. I can live with portions, but the Northerner snus is trying to be a nicotine replacement product as opposed to a snus. I suppose there's nothing wrong with that, but it offends my sensibilities. If you just want a nicotine source, it isn't a bad way to go. I tried a portion from a box pass, and the flavor wasn't bad(lime/licorice if I remember right), but it didn't jive with me due to the above reasons.

Positives as I see it...

Small - Easy to hide, and some people like minis

Dry - should last forever, even under poor storage conditions. Good nicotine stockpile.

Nifty tin - The tin's very flat, and doesn't take up much room. If you have concerns about looking like a redneck using snus, Northerner's doesn't look at all like a smokeless tin.
