What is it with Wintergreen snus?!?!?

Thunder, General, Jakobbsons.. Doesn't matter which maker, the portions open leaving me with tobacco all over my upper teeth! I've noticed this always happens with only the Wintergreen flavored snus..



......whatever, just another reason to hate wintergreen, aside from it's gross flavor..

I think the oil softens the glue in the portion seams. I've had that happen with Catch Eucalyptus, and I assumed it was the menthol acting as a solvent.

I believe lx is right. General Wintergreen id the worst, probably 5 potions out of every tin have split seams.

I haven't had it happen yet with my General Wintergreen, even with a portion in over 2 hours. But I'll report back when I finish the can

Odd, it's never happened to me and I've used several cans of General Wintergreen.

In my 1 year of snusing, I started out using General Wintergreen. The only time it came apart was when I "fluffed" the protions out and if I put two protions in on the same side (I pretty much smashed the portions together). As for the Jakobsson's Wintergreen never had the portions open up while in use, no matter how long I kept it in.

Some cans seem to be worst than others. I've had some that every other portion would bust a seem as I rolled in in my fingers, and others where only 1 or 2 out the whole can came apart. The General brand is the worst in this regard.

Doesn't bother me though. I don't mind a few stray bits, kind of like los. I would actually love to see a General Wintergreen loose.

Hmm, maybe I'll evacuate a few portions into the ol' icetool and see what happens...

I love General Wintergreen...I use it all day, other than General OP with my coffee in the morning. My only complaint is the portions ripping open, but it only seems to happen after I have it in for more than an hour.

I just bought some yesterday, and they changed the cans a little....the WARNING is much bigger, and the snus "catcher" lid is bigger.

I can see how General and Jako's might do it, but not thunder's. There's isn't soaked in mint oil like the others. Only portions I've had break open on me are thunder frosted longs.

Only the General Brand open up on me, never had the issue with V2 or Jacks.

I've had general, camel frost, marlboro spearmint & peppermint all open up on me before.
