    Unwrapping portions?

I just had this silly thought. I know people on this forum have been experimenting with making their own portions using tea bags and loose, but has anyone tried making loose from portions?

Is there a quality difference or process difference between portions and loose that stops this from being a viable way to experience Göteborgs Rapé #2 and other "portion only" varieties in loose form? If the result is too dry, one could try to revitalize it, I suppose. If it's merely hard to bake, an icetool should help pack it into a pris.

lOOSE HAS A LOT MORE MOISTURE IN IT, THUS MAKING THE TOBACCO TAKE UP QUITE A BIT MORE VOLUME. (capslock owns me again)

I Have taken broken portions and used them in loose form before (i learned how to hand bake using broken portions), but it isnt too easy to bake and it is a lot more gritty from my experience. As far as packing an icetool with portion snus. The smaller volume used by portioned snus vs. loose yould be pretty painful. Would probably take 2-3 portions to form anything of substantial size (by which point, the nic content may get a bit rough).

I'd say just break one open and make a small pris out of it (winds up being the size of a green pea. Portions also seem to have higher salt content (maybe just my perception), so placing portion snus in as loose may sting a bit more than using the portion or normal loose.
