    Yet another storage question

I have a roll of N and J, Skruf Stark and Lucky regular portions on the way. This will last me until June 15th or so. Do you think I’ll be ok just using the mini-fridge and not the freezer due to the fact 1. its not in card board cans and 2. will be used up in 3 monthes?

The reason I ask is my freezer has freezer burn issues. Or maybe freezer burn is impossible in plastic/metal cans?

    How would you store it?

I seem to remember our in-house chemist Zero saying something like "the colder the better".
So by all means, douse the logs in liquid nitrogen if you have it. :-D

I like to keep mine in the freezer just because I generally have more room there than in my fridge. The best-before date on the can assumes refrigeration below 8°C (46F), so I imagine it should be fine to keep it just in the fridge on the order of until the expiry date, but I find that snus kept in the freezer also seems fresher after such a long time. I usually just keep my on-the-go tins in the fridge, when possible, and otherwise just freeze the rest.

interesting...i didn't know the date actually assumes refrigeration....snus almost reminds me of cheese sometimes...

oh i wish there was a snus shop down the street....

sometimes i fight almost a hording mentality since snus is hard to come by in the states....and i have this maybe not so irrational fear that the government will itself become irrational and outlaw snus or tax it to oblivion.

Ah, well, right by the expiry date it usually says "Kylvara högst 8°C", which means "Keep cool below 8°C" 8) And yeah, it's just like cheese or milk - the expiry date sort of assumes it's staying in the fridge.
