Sorry if this has already been covered - i did try and search. I'm wondering what happens when travelling for say a few months staying in hostels with a fridge... what do any snus taking travellers do? Any tips would be appreciated. :-)

Yeah I have traveled a lot with snus. The only place it got a little funky was in Malaysia after a 3 week trip. I was only in the tropics for 9 days or so, but after a couple weeks unrefrigerated and after a week in high humidity and very warm temperatures it was a little ripe but still usable. Otherwise I have traveled longer in more temperate climates with no refrigeration and it does just fine. In fact I don't really refrigerate open portion cans at all anymore. So, unless you are going to a tropical climate, don't worry about it at all. Especially if you have a fridge handy at times, but even if you don't.

Does the same rule apply to los as well? I'm going on a couple day trip soon and want to bring my ettan and general los.

It's fine I don't refrigerate my snus at all. It's doing fine. It lasts until around the best before date and is usually fine after it for a month. Loose in paperboard drys out in about a week after it's opened though to the point it's almost unusable. I'd say the best white portions, then loose, and regular gets funky pretty quick, Gotlands lasts 4 days, and others um I'd say 2-3. The key is if it's not opened it's fine.
