I have found this issue on several forums I participated in that I watched die.
Old people get tired of seeing same old questions that have been gone over 1,000,000 times... geez.
New member gets flamed for asking what is a common question. No one is helpful. A lot of links to previous posts.
New member decides the forum is full of jerks.
Forum stops growing.
Older members start coming less.
Forum dies.
So before any of you start flaming new members for what you think has been answered a million times and any reasonable person would have used a search box, go into you own post history and look at some of the question you may have asked, then search that topic and see how many topics answered your question before that.
The idea of a forum is not to create a database of information... I mean screw it I know how to Google... the idea is to create conversation... not list information.
So before you flame, think about how you would feel if the first post you made, you got flamed. Would you be here for the non repetitive conversations? I think not.

Very nice post Texastorm, I have observed some of the same in other forums.
Its okay.... it just seems like SnusOn goes thru something like this once a month. SnusOn can be kinda like the weather in Texas.... if you dont like it, wait 5 minutes.*
*excludes the summer heat that likes to stay like that friend in college that asked sleep on your couch once but then ends up being there for a 6 months.

I can tell you I have witnessed the weather part and I agree with the SnusOn part. It is all about how you ride out the weather.
Word, Texastorm. In the few years since I joined Snuson, my first forum, I've browsed a few other forums that have to do with my other interests and I've decided that I pretty much hate them. For the reasons you mentioned. If a thread is terribly redundant and so unworthy of more than 3 helpful replies, such as: "should I refrigerate my snus?", it will either die and go away or maybe it will turn into a hilarious thread. Who knows? As mentioned I've lurked on a couple other forums and many seem to be full of grouchy assholes with 20,000 posts who do nothing but bitch about the organization of the forum. To which I would say out loud to myself, get a ****ing life, hoser. Thankfully, no one at snuson is like that and that's why I choose it as the one forum for which I want to spend time staring at a computer. And that is also why I enjoy the freedom to talk about whatever I want without anyone being an "off-topic" Nazi, because I don't want to participate in forums that suck for the aforementioned reasons. So thanks to everyone for being cool. I don't even know what the original issue was, but it sounds like someone, whoever it was, should have just stepped away from the computer and enjoyed the real world for a minute.
I set it up so you get the point in the first few lines and then if you need further elaboration you can read on.
thanks a lot dog. I tried to keep my notice short and sweet. Apparently it was short enough but not quite sweet enough.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
Well! You are an ass and have a reputation to uphold
HEY!! I resemble that remark!!

Scrolling through sub forums I found a great one to necropost.
There is nothing like a thread that answers the question and then goes wildly off the rails into a real conversation.
Also, this site is full of slightly outdated reviews. Many new snus are not reviewed or debated. I can find multiple opinions on discontinued snus, but I want multiple opinions on current snus. Tell me why you hate the snus I love, tell me why ::ain’t nothing but a heart break::

I’ve been scrolling the sub forums because I can’t seem to be specific enough in the search. I’ll have to try it out on desktop next time I fire the old gal up. Work gave me a laptop but they monitor it and if I do anything personal on it there are…consequences? Better not risk it.
