    Moisture level after shipment?

I've never bought in bulk before, and finally broke down and ordered a roll of snus online. It was delivered today, after being in transit for a full week.

Should I be concerned at all about a loss in moisture? Should I keep it in a moist environment for awhile before storing in the freezer -- put in my cigar humidor (~68% relative humidity), or outside (I live in the Pacific Northwest, if you know what I mean )? Or just straight to freezer?

I'm figuring double freezer-bagging it and storing at the back of my freezer.

I hope this isn't something that's already been directly addressed that I missed. I know the topic of storage and the freezer has come up before, but I hadn't seen anything on this specific issue or moisture content.

    What do you guys think?

    Straight into the Freezer mate

If you need to rehydrate..............do it can-by-can when you open them.

To do any serious rehydration you would have to open/break the seal on each can................in the end the long term loss would be more than any short term gain.

Prior to opening a can.............let it defrost in the fridge

If you are using los.............after you open the can it pack the snus down (the bottom of a shot glass works well for this).....this will also help you maintain hydration.

If you need to hydrate damp paper towel in the tin overnight works well.................in the morning take it out and toss the tobacco (mixing it)..............then pack it down.

    Hope this helps

I've only made three large purchases online, but I've not had a problem. In all cases the snus was super moist, whether portions or los. I would think if you receive snus that is at all dry, it was that way when it was shipped.
