Bringing snus to the UK.

So, I'm certain this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it.

I'm going to London for the week and I was wondering how I would go about getting my snus with me. Is it okay to bring in your carry-on, or do I have to put it in the other luggage? Also, how much can I bring and will I have to go through customs to declare it?

well it's not illegal to own it just to sell it... i don't think you need to declare it... i think you would be ok with up to 6 months worth...

Well, I'm just bringing a weeks worth, so I think I'm fine :P

You will be fine, I had 4 cans with me when I came back from Germany last year, never asked about it once and I was very open with it, had one on my person too, you won't have any probs with it.

Just brought a roll of it in my hand luggage to Belfast - didn't blink an eyelid. It's not illegal.

No you do not need to declare it. You can carry it in hand, carry-on or in checked luggage it doesn't matter. I have traveled the world with snus for many, many years and I have never ever been asked about it.

Based with the convo above i am hinting that soon government will ban snus too.
