    New Bakers..Give this a shot.

I am slowly, mastering the art of baking loose snus. Like many others, I use loose at home and portions at work and in public. After about 30 mins, I still get noticable mud-mouth.
My main staple loose is General, but I like Roda Lacket a couple of times a week.
Roda Lacket is as easy as it comes to bake. The Gerneral, I find a bit more dry than Roda, and the pris to be a heck of alot more fragile.
I have been taking a little Roda and adding to my General to help hold the pris together. It took a few tries to get mixture right where you could only taste very little Roda.
I call it my "Training Wheel" method of baking.

    Great advice.

I find that if I wet my fingers a tad it helps too. Just a bit though. It seems to make my pris stick together better and almost skin over before I pop it in. Like a gelled outer layer that binds up and holds the loose bits in.

It must be the humectants they add.

Good idea, I've got to mix some Röda with some of my other stuff just to see what it taste like.

If your still having trouble with it try baking it into a ball (the easiest way in my opinion) with your fingers, and then squish it out into a cylinder. It's easy and holds together well. The down side is that it doesn't bring out all the flavor because this method bakes it too tight.

Note: this only works with course ground snus like Phantom or Skruf. Twisting the ball while baking it will make it even tighter. By twisting it I mean pinching in a twist like motion (always the same direction) as you shape the ball. After that squish it into your loaf, and enjoy the ride.

I've found that drier snus brands, like Goteborgs Rape stay together better in my mouth, and Roda Lacket and Prima Fint don't last so long, but that may be because I poke it a lot with my tongue to get it juicing.
