    Question about wetting snus

I'm new to snus, I've been using it for about a week now, I've been having an issue with the portions sticking to my lip and gum and hurting fairly badly. It happens with any snus but seems worse with white portions because they are ao dry.

My question is can I wet the snus in the can, add a little water and throw it in the fridge? I've found that wetting the portion with some saliva and rolling it around in my mouth before putting it in my lip helps, but I'm not crazy about having all the juice from putting it in really wet, so are there any other ways to go about it?

Maybe give loose a try, that should eliminate the problem. It's only slightly less convenient than portions but well worth it IMO.

Lössnus is my choice, but if you insist on portions, try moving them around. You don't have to place it, and forget it. Switch sides, put it on your tongue, suck on it... That said, I'm not a fan of white portions, even as portions go. You can also spritz them with water, but I never bothered. I didn't have enough problems to warrant it.

I actually dry mine out with a paper towel if they're regular portions, to make them last longer at work lol. You might wanna try something with a little lower salt content?

It's all about foreplay... Get it nice and wet by nibbling gently, massaging the right areas, and using your tongue properly...

Well in the future....avoid whites .......the whole point is that they are meant to be dry

In the meantime......put it in an take a swig of water......let it swish over the portion a bit.

Also whoever mentioned salt is spot on......that and the nicotine will be hard on the gums at first........but you gums will get used to it before too long.......like you feet after going barefoot for a week or so
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Thank you guys for the replys, the foreplay idea seems to work the best so far, get it wet and we both like it better.

As far as loose, I am planning on giving it a go with my first order in a couple of weeks but locally the only thing I can get is camel or general portions, whoo hoo. At least I'm not just stuck with the candy that rj Reynolds is peddling, anyhoo I'm gonna see how Los does and go from there, I snus all day at work so I may have to stick with portions at least while I'm there

Or.. if you like change - add a drop of vanillia to the portion or your favorite cognac/brandy/whiskey.

                  Adds that extra... ummmph.

No idea about salt content but the Thunder portions are especially moist. I find the odens portions to be too dry. Whenever i go through a can of oden's vanilla i find i have to kind of squeeze the portion in my upper lip to get any flavor or moisture out of it. I usually just try to suck my top lip as far into my mouth as i can. It does the trick. Give that a try or like snusdog says, put it in and take a good drink of water. Or drink the water beforehand making sure to get the spot you plan to put it nice and hydrated.

It was incredibly hard to type this without sounding sexual.

Slice a piece of cucumber and or two and place it in the dosa. Wait a day or two and you will have a more moist snus. No cucumber taste either.
