    Metal Storage tins?

Wondering if anyone has any experiance with these metal containers...

    http://www.buysnus.com/snusbrand/Ice...ess_steel.aspx

Is there any difference in the snus? Typical los tins are paper... I wonder if metal would keep it better? Any difference in portions stored in these? Purely asthetic and coolness factor?

I have the one for the portion - I haven't noticed any real difference.

I put in a divider, so I carry 4 types - and I think it looks cool.

Yeah, it is just for coolness factor.

It keeps your snus very cold when in the fridge but like stated in another post, because its steel it gets hot faster.

I have one and i looks lovely.

Here is what it actually looks like.

The photos on other websites can be misleading becuase the star is the gold color of the stars beside posts on this forum.

I think the can would look much better if it was all stainless and not silver/gold.

Only SM uses paperboard for their tins. All the other makers use plastic.

My buddy's dad gave me his silver "Dip" tin recently (he had a heart attack about 2 months ago and had to quit) for my "Fancy Swedish dippin' tobacco" (what he calls it). Works pretty good and looks cool too. The best thing about it is, the top snaps on so, no chance of it accidently opening. I've seen them at swap meets for a few bucks. Not as cool as an IceBox but, a bit less expensive. Some day I'll break down and get one.

Yeh, we know AirW, we'll all break down and but a classy icetool can. I got so close to ordering some with my order this morning from buysnus, but then looked at my bank balance

why not just get a tin of 1847? Probably even a better tin.

Silver? To store snus? I might be waay of base, but there's a reason that stainless steel, or aluminum would better be used for this application. Isn't there a potential risk of toxicity... I hope you don't 'break down' in ways you're not anticipating. I'd look into this if I were you, but then again... I could be all wrong. 8)

yea, I thought about that too but, only the "sleeve" is silver (the can slips in to it). The top looks like it's etched aluminum with a gold saddle medalion. I only use it for portions when we are going out (which isn't often).
