I guess I'm doing something wrong. I just checked all 14 1 gallon bags I have in my freezer. All have again lost their seal. I'll go buy some more bags and try it one more time. Might be a bad batch of bags.

I'm telling ya.........spend the xtra $ and get an electric sealer, its worth it. You won't believe how well they work and they never lose a seal. And think of all the other things you can use it for. Not thinking food here.........more of personal items you want to keep for long term and herb.

I dig, I have been wanting to get one. But for the moment this will have to do. It does work well for me.

I understand. I kept thinking about getting one and kept putting it off also. But once I got one it was like why didn't I get it earlier. The bags can be expensive but you can get them on ebay or most discount stores cheaper. Also plan on how you may reuse them and leave a little xtra material on so you can reseal them. Since we are sealing dry goods they are easily reuseable. If you use them for food then you might as well throw them away......or wash them.

Yeah! You may want to wash them if your reusing them as fleshlights

                      My odd storage technique

I, like most people, put unopened cans and rolls in freezer bags and freeze them when I buy in bulk and am not going to use the majority of it in a couple months. However, I keep open cans either in my pocket or on my dresser/nightstand and do not put them in the refrigerator because I feel like opened cans dry out quicker in the refrigerator (just my preference/personal opinion) and am too lazy/it's inconvenient for me to have to go to the fridge 10 times a day just for a portion. Does anyone else on this forum do as I do? and in the long run, is the an ineffective way to store snus? Also, it gets pretty hot where I am in the summer, so will the heat hurt the can at all if I choose to keep it in my pocket while going out on a hot summer day? Note: I keep opened cans at room temperature for four to seven days (the average amount of time it takes me to go through a can)

Hey whatever works for you is what you want! I think you'll be good as long as they don't dry out too much. I leave some cans of loose I only use at home out once they are opened but it doesn't get too hot here and the air is not dry. When I'm out I keep cans in a lunch bag with a blue ice thing and then they go back to the fridge. Try different things and do what you want!

I always have one can open and with me at all times. It does not get refrigerated and it takes me an average of four days to go through a tin. I use mostly los and here in Florida it gets wicked hot....but humid.

I do not have any issues as long as it is one tin at a time. Any more than that open and it gets a bit crazy.

I recently started keeping my open tins in a ziplock bag in the fridge (38 degrees). I like it so far, nice cool portions and haven't noticed any increased drying.

I keep mine in the freezer until I'm ready to open a new can which I keep with me at all times for the three days that they last. I've never had an issue, room temperature, pocket temperature no problems. If the portions dry out at all, which I haven't noticed, they get wet in your mouth anyway.

I keep unopened snus in a freezer ziploc. In fact, I just enjoyed my first ever can of Grov los, which was actually from the first snus order I placed about 18 months ago. It was as fresh and moist as the new can of General that I opened at the same time. I liked the Grov but I would still rate General ES as a better snus, flavor and scent-wise (sorry wickedkitchen).

I too carry the open can that I am currently using with me everywhere. I do try to take it out and place it on the coffee table when at home or on my desk while at work to avoid the extra body heat. I used to put it in the refrigerator but now I don't worry about it. I go through a can of los every 4 days or so and it never gets too dried out.
