It's hot and humid in south Florida but I haven't had any drying out problems yet.

Next time I would lay them out single layer on a plate and then mist them with a spray bottle.

What's the temp been like in South FL? It's been a terribly hot summer so far here in Alabama. I'm ready for winter.
We are averaging mid 90's last two weeks, heat index at midday is 105 plus. Supposedly tied record two days in a row last week. It sucks, friggin a/c runs constantly, can't wait to see this months electric bill.. beats shoveling snow though. And, my portions were dryin out in the house, not the fridge. I moisten them before i store them for the nite.

We've been seeing about the same here temp wise. I don't know thought, I wouldn't mind some snow today.

I'll have to try your spray bottle idea. Keeps the guess work out of how much water to use.

I have Mondays off for the summer, so i just did that hole drilling thing in the top of a roda lakett can. Put some paper towel soaked with Kahlua in there and refigerated. Let you know how that goes, tomorrow. (hoping it improves the taste, is my least fav so far.)

Yeah, let me know how that works. I was reading about that yesterday and was considering giving it a try.

What I do though is take a can with me to work then when I return place it back in the fridge. A can could last a couple days. Could the heating/cooling/heating/cooling have any bad effects? I thought about just carrying what I'll use but I can't predict if I'll have a good work day or bad where that extra portion makes the difference. I work in air conditioning all day so if that helps.
I've found it's not good to take the snus can in and out of the fridge. It seems to hurt the quality. If I have a snus can that I'm going to use within 3-5 days, I just leave it out until I use it all.

Nothing like a "cold one" at the end of a long workday! I have a designated travel can that I fill with whatever I think I might need for the day.

                          Snus storage

I have 12 cans of snus in the fridge right now. 2 different white portions, 1 loose snus, and 9 other regular portions. All of them are unopened accept for the can of Skruf cranberry which I have in my mouth at this moment, and I'm wondering: How does Loose Snus compare to Portion snus when it comes to shelf life in the fridge? and will an already opened can dry out if not used and stored in the fridge for a couple days?

I'm also a newbie, but I have noticed the stuff I don't use much of does tend to dry out quite a bit in my fridge. There's a post (I think in tips and tricks) about how you can keep them moist by punching holes in the top of the can right below where the catch lid is, and putting like a moist paper towel in the space for spent portions. I'm going to try that.

Loose seems to dry out faster than portions in the fridge IMO. Maybe it's just more noticeable because you're actually looking at the snus and not the bag, IDK. It can be re-moisturized, but I've never had to. I keep the unopened cans in the freezer in vacuum or freezer bags, and the open cans last a long time in the fridge for me, like a couple months or more. Once you start taking a can out in the heat and then back in the fridge everyday, they dry out faster and should be used. But those are obviously being used, so...

I leave all my snus in the freezer and I actually notice more moisture I think them I keep 'em there. Sometimes some ice crystals and when I take a can and put it in my pocket after about 5 minutes the can is sweating/condensating.
