White vs regular portions...

Is there a difference in taste of the same brand/type of a white portion vs a regular portion? Or is it just moisture and delivery?

I believe there is a difference in the tobacco used, but I'm not sure. I just don't like white portions (apart from General Sterk that I really begin to dig).

White portions tend to have a more mellow flavor, and the flavor lasts longer since there is initially less moisture... I prefer some white portions to regular (e.g. Ettan), but I mostly use regular when they are available...

From my experience, white portions don't initially "juice" as quick as regular portions, but they eventually start to drip the same after 10-15 minutes. I like regular portions better because they have more flavor.

Well, nowadays i have to use white portions - otherwise I get brown teeth (by using regular). The brown sh*t is not easy to brush off from the teeth later when I get to bed either.

I'm just the opposite. I prefer Ettan regular to the white. I to have found I prefer regular portions most of the time.

I think the coarseness and flavoring varies between lös and portions, but I can't comment on the white, as I don't particularly care for them.

I prefer regular portions. The experience is more authentic somehow, for one, and the texture of the pouch fabric is silkier and easier on my gums.

It appears this is the case for at least Ettan - I prefer the taste of White Portions over the Original Portions;

OTOH, I prefer the Original Portions over the White Portions of General;

Just depends on the brand I guess, at least for me. So I like both Original and White Portions - and of course, the black ones too, at least where General Onyx is concerned.

Agreed... I think the Ettan original portions have too much smoke flavoring added to the outside. This gives them a weird taste at first. Once it's in for a few minutes it tastes great!

See, for me I hate Ettan White, Love the Los and the Portions are OK.

The Ettan white Portions had this sweet pecan kinda taste to them i didnt like.
