LD Black with Chai - killer combo

I thought I'd post this; it was a true epiphany when I put this combination together. The salmiak in LD black goes fantastically well with Masala Chai, and the subtlety of the spices in the tea - especially the cinnamon bark - really compliment the liquorice, and help to bring out the flavour. It's the best snus/drink combination I've tried in 2 months. I'd highly recommend it.

I'm ashamed to say I've never had chai. Whenever I'm some place that sells that sort of thing, they also have nice coffees, and coffee wins the day for me every time.

Well in that case I'd thoroughly recommend it, LD Black or not. Masala Chai is awesome. It's true, Chai isn't bursting with caffeine. And I do like a good coffee now and then, especially in the morning. But you have to try, it's very pleasant.

I definitely will. I've come close a few times, but then ended up getting an espresso, or cappuccino.

A good cup of coffee is great, but if I had to choose between coffee and chai, chai would win just about every time. As a matter of fact I think I am going to make some now :lol: .

i would have to say to anyone who hasn't tried chai try it. one of my favorite types of tea. lately i have been on an earl grey kick, but next time i'm at the tea store i am gonna pick up some chai. after reading this i guess i will have to order a can of ld to try as well.

agreed gotland yellow is perfect to go with your favorite hops tea. 8)

I hafta agree on this one. Sipping some Kalahari Red Chai tea with an LD Black in - very nice combo. After a long day, its a little piece of heaven.

there should honestly be a whole thread on this forum devoted to teas. there are so many types of tea, and each of them pairs well with different types of snus.

with that being said, chai tea is awesome with ld black. i believe that a cinnamon snus would be even more delicious as it would complement the spices used in chai teas. thats why i have a tin of odens kanel on the way.

just gotta say i got the LD black daruckis sent me today and as soon as i popped it in a made me aa cup of india spice chai...very good together
