    slow-onset nic-hits?

I work anywhere from 4-12 hours at a stretch, and I'm always around people. my snus habit is still a secret, so sometimes after about an hour I'm caught with a dead snus in my mouth, no chance to replace it for another 20-60 minutes, and general discomfort.

2 things that have helped me are white portions, because the "need" for one doesn't seem to hit as hard, and 12mg portions, because They'll last about 1 3/4 hours for me. I didn't see a reason to up the strength of my portions because the strongest thing I did was claq qui and I didn't like anything about it(I'm prone to nic-ups as well).

but I'm curious about how yall can attest to the "slow release" of thunder or any other portion. I would love to have a portion that wasn't overwhelming, lasted for 3-4 hours at a time, and was relatively cheap(considering I would use less of them, in theory).

I'm also interested in saving money, poor or not, and If I could get a reliable strong portion that I could have 2-3 of a day, even if it was twice as expensive it would be cheaper for me.

my favorites are lucky strike original, LD black and grov svart so far. I'm willing to try anything, but haven't liked any of the minty flavors I've tried(even in american dip).

Ok, I've told you plenty. thoughts?

Yes, Thunder will do exactly what you want it to, at least in my experience. can't explain how, but it does. Oden's, the same thing.

It simply hits and stays like no other snus I ever have had.

I was researching the matter further(I have the day off, this is how I use it), and getsnus.com rates skruf stark white portions at 14/mg per portion.

I really loved the skruf stark that I had, but I remember it hit hard and disspiated quickly. I was wondering if perhaps the white portion has a similar effect as a thunder/odens, in lasting for 3-4 hours(4 being the coveted number for me)

that would be great, because I know I already like the flavor.

thinking about this more, the skruf stark white probably wouldn't be more effective than grov svart, which for me lasts a little less than 2 hours.

I'll have to carefully pick an extra-strong that lasts 4 hours and whose flavor is acceptable(hopefully more than acceptable)

Thunder Frosted will do you. Lasts all afternoon for me.

But if you're worried about what others think about you using Snus.. Treat it like a piece of used up gum. Spit it in a trash can or into a Kleenex. They'll just assume it was gum anyway. Keep some extra Snus in a mint box or something like that and pop one in.
Unless you're going to make an announcement about what you are putting in your mouth or right in someones face when you do it no one will think a thing of it.
If I saw someone take something out of a small mint or candy box and put it in their mouth my first thought wouldn't be.. "O my God, that guy is using strange tobacco products." If I thought about it at all I'd probably ask you if you had another mint to spare. (hmm, may want to keep a couple on hand just in case)

yeah, I have spit it out in a napkin like gum(I chew gum as well, sometimes concurrently), and I have popped a portion in like candy and maneuvered it in position inconspicuously, but I don't want to have to do that. It's fine, obviously worth it, but it'd be nice to just pop it in and have the nicotine peak and expire right on cue for my shift(which is roughly 4 hours till break time)

Like Sage said Oden and Thunder seem to last the longest without getting bitter or losing their kick.

I start with Thunder Frosted in the morning around 7am when I get on the bus, I leave it till about 12 to 1230. Eat lunch. Pop my next Thunder Frosted at about 115pm and leave it till I get home at 530pm and then I chain snus loose the rest of the evening or whatever suits me. Thunder Frosted has become my two portion snus for work workhorse. The guy I sit next to that started on this journey with me does the same thing now.

wow, by my count that averages 4-5 hours for you, and you use loose regularly whereas I don't.

that seals the deal for me, considering my weekly thunder use would only average 2 cans a month. next order:

                  elixyr cat-piss/turpentine flavor
thunder/odens something or other(still conflicted cause I don't dig mint)
                  phantom blue loose

that'll be my work regimen. still working with my lucky strike and LD black when I'm off-the-clock

I recommend Oden's Extra Stark Kanel (if you like cinnamon)

I didn't dig mint either until I tried Thunder Frosted.

But I too will vouch for Thunder and Oden's. One portion will easily hold me over for 4-6 hours.

I mentioned in another thread that I passed out with a fresh portion of Thunder Frosted (after eating 3 pizzas). I slept for roughly 15 hours. WHen I woke up, it was still minty

G-Gul or Jakobsson's. Low PH for slow release, plenty of nic, and flavor lasts and lasts and lasts and lasts and lasts and lasts and lasts.

I changed my strategy since adding a WHOLE drop of exctract to a 2-3 ml pris was killing my gums, now I add a few drops to a can, the next day if it's not strong enough I'll add another drop to the can, works for lós, haven't tried it with my portions.

I was really surprised at Onicos very herbal taste the other day, it was like having a tiny tea bag in my mouth, very pleasant. why they shipped it with my sample SNUS... SNUS = vitamin N!!!! the flavor lasts forever, isn't tobacco and may be a good flavor supplement

I was gonna recommend a bathroom break every couple hours to change out your snus.

jamesstew, could you elaborate on those products? I was curious how you found their pH, and also your personal experiences with how long they last. I was curious about jakobsens anyhow...

at the moment I'm scheming on some oden's extra strong cinnamon, and if I don't like it in it's own right I'll dust the portions in cinnamon and/or my toque toffee snuff. kind of silly, but worthwhile If I'm only using 10 or so portions a week.

also, I don't recall any odens strong licorice reviews, has anyone here had it?

northerners slipshod review section says both a bunch of inane stuff and that the flavor is lost before the nicotine. I like LD black, so I'm interested, but not unless it's about as good(which I doubt)
