ml to gram conversion

I know that several people have asked how to convert ml to grams. As I am mathematically challenged, and have enough trouble converting dollars to cents, and due to the fact that ml and grams are two totally different units of measure, ml measures volume and grams measures weight, or some such crap, I too was stumped.

But never fear, because I have ADD, and have thousands of random thoughts bouncing around in my cranium at any given time. Once in a blue moon my brain will spit out an idea that is actually pretty decent, and this was one of those times.

So, I have this small digital scale that I used to use for "other purposes". I took a syringe which I never used for "other purposes" and measured out 1 ml of tightly packed GES. I placed it on the scale and Blammo! It weighed in at exactly one gram.

So give or take a smidge I would assume 1 ml of los snus will weigh approximately 1 gram!

I assume the syringe you're using isn't used for snus! I'm curious about how many grams are on each click of the 3ml Icetool...

Actually it is! I picked it up at Walgreen's for free and rigged up my own icetool.

The only drugs that have ever been injected into me have been done so by a doctor or a nurse. I was always more of an "herbalist"...lol! 8)

How much does the prismaster hold?

The prismaster packed full using General ES again to be consistant weighed in at 2.3 grams. So almost 2 1/2 regular portions. Hopes this helps figure out the approximate nic content of the different los snus. 8)

No...it's pretty much guesswork with the prisnaster.

I've found with the prismaster, if you pack it half full when you put the pris in keep the tool vertical. Tthe prismaster is kinda awkward to operate when held horizontally.

How do you get the tobacco into the prismaster? Do you just push it into the tobacco and pull up on the plunger?

Yes and no......back the plunger all the way for "normal-sized pris" or take the plunger out and stick it in backwards for "slightly larger than normal-sized pris".

That's a great selection of los you got there. I really like all of those! The prismaster's works are loose enough to use it that way. When i used mine i normally pulled the plunger back first and held it in place with my thumb. Then i would plunge it in the snus until it was full and press it against my finger to pack the snus a little. Everybody has their own way of doing it, but the variations aren't that drastically different. Just experiment and you'll find the way that works best for you. Some just use the prismaster to get the basic shape and then hand bake from there. Just be sure that you clean it every couple of uses because it tends to gum up fairly quickly. I hope this helps ya out.
