Lös snus - the nasal way?

First of all, I just stumbled on Wired, usually a tech site, who features a snuff article http://www.wired.com/underwire/2009/06/snuff/

I just got my first can of lös snus, a small Phantom (blue).
I never considered "sniffing" it, but it might be worth trying out.
How do you do it - just snorting away?

Maybe that's more for hardcore users.
I bet it wouldn't look pretty, if I sat at home with half my arm up my nose

it would just probably get stuck in your throat and end up gaging some but it seems like a fun activity to try when my los order comes in !!

But seriously -- you can actually order a wide range of nasal snuff from Northerner.com. I believe that someone here has mentioned Toque as a good beginners choice.

I've seen snuff here in DK too, in the Paul Olsen shop (pipes and tobacco) in Copenhagen. But they only had two kinds, and they where both 'medicated' (flavoured with menthol).

              What's White?

Okay. Thanks for clearing up what "medicated" means.
While we're at it, what does it mean that some snus is "White"?

              Thanks

Portions can either be "regular" or "White". Made slightly different and the whites don't get a final moisture bath as the regulars do. So they are drier, don't juice as much. Slower hit from the snus, more muted taste, largely the only snus I use on a regular basis.

Sagedil covered the snus aspect. There's also a white snuff that isn't tobacco(or cocaine :^P). It has a dextrose base, and is generally mentholated. I guess someone would use that who wants to snuff, but doesn't want nicotine.

I doubt it very much. I'd say your best shot is the Swedish online shops.

It isn't bad, you have to like menthol though. I guess it would be good to give a temporary feeling of a clear nose, or perhaps even prevent infection during cold season. There's been anecdotal evidence that snuff helps prevent illness, and it's theorized that the increased nasal secretions(yum :^D) help block the passage of germs.

                            That's an interesting theori.

Nasal snuff is something that I really want to like, but everytime I've tried it I've exploded in long series of sneezes. It never fails, and now I've just accepted that this won't be the thing for me. :?

                              Snus up your nose... Hmmmm.

Now I'm sitting here thinking of other orifices I could put it in.
