    Making snus fresh

    Okay guys!

Got my first rolls ever at monday(not first cans tho, 6 months now snusing), so at the beginning there were no problems, but now that my snus-tastesystemwhatever have come better (dunno how to explain it), I can taste that it tastes like old snus, so I took a tip from youtube and putted piece of apple to my skruf lös cans, should it come back to normal in 48h?

And alot of topics made from this issue, so everyone could post their own method to make snus fresh again.

Thank you for answers! (I dont want to lose my first rolls because they tastes like ****)

Let me know how that turns out for you. The closest thing to old I got was a month old can of grov los (that I finished up last night) that was getting sorta light brown and not that moist. I was still able to get it into my mouth and it was fine.

my snus-tastesystemwhatever has never detected the taste of old snus even in 1 month+ after opening the can.
what was the reference point given these are the first snus rolls ever?

i've never had any issues with the freshness of my snus. Even expired cans fair well. I keep them refrigerated. Back when I smoked the herbs, I used to put an orange peel in a bag of schwag to kind of moisten it out. Really worked well.

I've been using snus 4 months past the best before date for 2 weeks, had no problems so far.

Don't know what's the problem, the guy who bought them for me, keeped them in room temperature all the time, 5 days shouldn't be a problem, but manh, now it is this time. o_O

It's not totally ruined out, it still gives you a good nic kick, and its not totally dryed out/brown, mut these makes it unpleasant to enjoy snus.

E: I've tasted FRESH skruf lös before, and its totally different taste, I just didn't taste the difference in the beginning, because I hadn't snused for a +month before the rolls.

Ok, so it's been 24h since I putted the apple pieces to the cans, I opened 1 can and woah, nice suprise! The color is alot darker allready, smell is alot more fresh, easier to bake, and the taste is, hmm lets say about 15-30% better, and it lasts longer!

And it was still icecold, so the flavors wasn't fully "melted" yet, and the apple have gave the snus this nice hint of sweetness to it.

I don't really like the idea of putting fruit in my snus. I've rotten fruit before. I've never seen rotten snus.
But hey, I've never tried it. Please keep us updated on how well the snus fares as well as the fruit!

I've changed the apple pieces once allready, because it was totally dryed out.

And the fruits etc are fresh here, dunno about USA then.

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I have yet to experience a full roll of bad snus. The worst that ever happened to me was a can of Skruf Stark Portions that tasted a bit roasted and dry at the end of a sunny day, unrefrigerated. I just finished the can and didn't try to moisten it.

Many people say that a few drops of whiskey are the best thing to "reanimate" snus. I guess I'd try it in case a full roll would taste bad.

                              Cheers!
