Eating while Snusing

New to the forum and this is my first post.

I've been a Cope use for about 20 years. I don't know how I stumbled upon Snus on-line, but, rest assured I'm certainly glad I did. I'll never put a pinch of another UST product in my mouth again!

I've been using snus for about a month now. I started out with a tin of Ettan and just recently purchased the eight pack of the "assorted" snus from Northerner. I'm into my third tin, Goteborgs Prima Fint (first was, as I've been reading, the ever-faithful Ettan). I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed both so far. I'm looking forward to the next tin! Not sure what that will be, but my mouth is already watering just thinking about it.

Anyway, my question is this. Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but how many of you fellow Snusers out here eat while snusing? Is this common among the bretheren?

While it *is* possible with a lot of experience I just can't see why anyone would consciously want to do so?
I once had to do so because I had just put a new pris of loose under the lip and then stumbled into my house hungry. So I made myself a quick sandwich and carefully ate that with the snus in.
I can't say I enjoyed either because you're constantly thinking of what you're doing so OK you're enjoying the nicotine but eating at the same time is more of a chore than enjoyment of food.

I avoid eating, while snusing. Just by coincidence, I also ate an apple once, when I had a portion in my mouth. The reason was, that I couldn't resist to immediately try a fresh apple from a tree, that I saw on the road and the portion was much too fresh, to spit it out. It was not such a problem, but I still strictly prefer to keep eating and snusing separated.

With loose snus, eating could be very difficult. I've never done it and always spit/wash the prilla out, if needed.

For me, it happens, but not too often, it´s all about how comfortable the portion is lying under the lip.

But it´s not practical at all, like sleeping with it, you don´t know where it´ll end up

i do it sometimes but now allways :wink: i dont do it when i am eating dinner forexample but when i am have a snack or somthing haha! the best thing is drinking coffe and having a snus in! muuuuuums

I sometimes eat with a pouch under my lip, it doesn't taste or feel any different than without one. Couple times I have eaten while using loose, something I won't do unless I'm in a hurry or stuff like that.

Almost every time I have tried to eat with Snus is, I end up swallowing the Snus. guess I'm real glad that Snus is considered a food item in Sweden and has to be made under those standards. I really try not to d this often, but sometimes I just forget I have one under my lip and start eating. It really never has worked out well for me.

No offense, sagedil, but I hope your icon is what you look like AFTER you've swallowed your snus! LOL...j/k, of course. I didn't put a picture of me out here because I AM ugly and I don't want to scare the bretheren.

I have eaten with it, also. And, I too, have swallowed my fair share. I consider that having my Swedish salad.

With a mini portion in I can eat and drink just fine. Mini white portions are best for this.

Regular portion or above though, it gets difficult. I'd rather not try to bite into anything with a regular portion in.

That's just me BEFORE the coffee. Seriously, that was done with a nifty web program that will take a picture of you and age or childize?? you. It also has options that let you do some arty stuff too, which my icon is one of. I use a "nicer" version for my my MySpace photo (or at least I did until I switched it with a red Raptor) My soon to be ex wife didn't like that one either.

Honestly, I really think it represents the inner me. Always trying to battle being a bit rough around the edges.

I can eat fine with a mini, a large I have to move it uncomfortably high on my top lip. I don't use loose because I use Grizzly if I want to have loose tobacco, but when I do that I half horseshoe from the center of my bottom teeth back to my first molars and chew on the right side, minimizes the swallowing of the chew.

I seem to be fine with a mini in but with a regular i use the pop-out lid to keep it until i have finished. That is a brilliant addition to the portion cans. Those Swedes are geniuses!

Since I use only loose, eating while snusing is bit hard. Can do it but then I don't get satisfaction from snusing or eating. A lemon cake mixed with Rapé was pretty exotic though.
