Just started using Snus.... very impressed

    For what it is worth
I recently started using the camel mellow snus since it was $1.79 instead of $6.00/pack. I used it with and without cigs for awhile until I had to go out on disability for awhile. I started chain smoking from 3 cigs a day to 1.5 packs. I tried the commit things but they did not lower the smoking at all. I have now been without a cig for a week now and I don't even want one. I got some samples of "general" snus and it is much better. 1 medium strength pouch for 45 minutes lasted over 12 hours. I also did not get the hiccups (which I do with the camel mellow). I never intended to stop smoking just to slow down, but so far( and I know it is way to early to tell) I do not have any desire for a cig at all and I have been a "light" smoker for 30 years and I have never been able to go more than 36 hours without a smoke. Even when I get stressed and I do get a bad nicotine fit. one pouch and it's gone in less than a minute and with the "general" swedish snus it appears that it does not come back for a long time.

    Welcome to Snuson justcheckingitout.

Snus is really amazing, why so many passionate people here spending much time talking about it.

I never intended to quit smoking, but after about a month of doing both, i just stopped. snus just became a so much better way of getting nicotine. As I posted earlier this week, what I love most about snus s I never feel the "pull" of nicotine. Not like when i smoked, and needed, NEEDED, another one in 30 minutes. I chain snus throughout the day, and never feel any need, my nicotine needs are just met alost like magic.

      thanks

I read that the nicotine gets stored and is still distributed long after you get rid of the pouch. from my limited experience I would say this sounds about right. I can tell the camel stuff has something in it that does make you want another after a couple of hours where the general stuff does not.

I feel like snus is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I also feel like I know something that most of the rest of the world doesn't. I feel like preaching to the world about it. (I tried the preaching part and it doesn't work....lol) I find myself driving down the road and popping in an Onyx thinking...."Why couldn't I have found out about this sooner?"

            Welcome aboard!
I too had that funny "want another" bit the first time I tried Camel snus, and I swear up and down that I'm one of the weird ones who just doesn't get physically addicted to stuff.
course since snusing everyday, i see no need to stop and find out if I'm right 8) 8)
for me it was a weird tingling on my bottom lip (where i put my first camel portion, like a newb). next day, bottom lip was tingling like mad.
with snus, no such occurence. I was never a daily smoker but I try my best to let my smoker friends know about snus.
In class, at work, at a bar, at a party, body surfing in the gulf of Mexico, pretty much anywhere is a place where snus is welcome.
