She was a "possibility" At least at first. And more important for me. walking away from snus for a month plus, and seeing the damage that did to my life trying to function without it was truly clarifying for me.

Will never make that decision again.

I too have snused in church, my parents church, and they are by far the WORST about tobacco. None of their members smoke, dip, what have you.
Church and motorcycling are the only two places where I chain snus  kick things off with a portion on the way to church, once it wears out sneak into the bathroom and double-pack some purified portions so they don't show.
That was the first time, now I don't really care anymore. Got my can in my back pocket and and a nice regular portion in my lip.

Where I work is practically a daily anti-tobacco convention.

It's a large, nationally recognized health insurance company that lead the tobacco lawsuit charge in the 90's and won one of the first and biggest settlements ever.

            Yeah, that insurance company.

We have a "smoking" policy at work, but no tobacco policy. You're not allowed to smoke anywhere on the property, not even in your car in the parking lot. One has to stand in the street to smoke.

But since there's nothing on the books about tobacco (it specifically says "smoking" and there's no mention of tobacco at all), I chain snus in the office all day long. I don't even bother to take it out for meetings.

Maybe that doesn't fit your definition of "crazy," but I find it ironic.

                -During exams all the time
                -On a rollercoaster
                -On the dancefloor
A more realistic question would be, where can't you enjoy a snus?

In theory, you can absorb the nicotine from snus most anywhere. Nicotine can even be absorbed through the skin in your hand afaik (though not a very effective method). There are some more effective places though:
                Under the armpits
                Rectally
                Vaginally
                Orally
                Sublingually (under the toungue)
Smoked (I'd like to hear reports on people putting a pinch of snus in a pipe)
                Vaporized
                Insufflated
Intraveiniously (if the nicotine is isolated)

These methods may even be more effective than in your lip. However I still do not recommend them for other purposes than experimentation (and make sure you know what you're doing!). Nicotine, as most any other drug, can be absorbed almost anywhere, especially since its water soluable and is not destroyed by temperatures which vaporize it.

The college where my wife works is going tobacco-free in a few days, with a huge press conference/announcement. Not smokefree. Tobacco-free. That includes snus and dissolvables, I was told, cause I asked, cause I use both. All suppliers and people who service the college are being informed of the new policy.

What do you reckon would be the reaction if I whipped out my e-cig and blew some vapor in the cafeteria?

                      There's no tobacco. No smoke.

Nah, I won't rattle the cage that way. But you see where things are going. The new order will be "no nicotine".

TropicalBob, can they legally make the entire campus tobacco free? That sounds pretty, um, whats a good PC word for this, f**kin retarded? I mean, smoke I can understand, but smokeless as well? Who the heck does that harm (besides the user) anyways?
Me, I would still snus, and I'm certain tobacco users will still smoke/dip in secret. Or hell, in the dorm rooms! There are gonna be a lot of stinky dorms at that school, I predict. College students drink in dorms all the time, so....
All I can say is if my campus went tobacco-free, protest would be in order. And the wonderful thing about college kids (at least at my school) is they love their tobacco enough to join me.
Wow, that bordered on a rant for me.

But, seriously, you would have been able to snus here but not smoke!
