PSA mini fridge ice tray slots

alright dudes, i keep the majority of my snus in a mini fridge, until yesterday/today, ive had like 5 unopened cans hangin out on the ice tray thing. yesterday i decided it was time i opened my camel whites, took them to work. (great snus by the way. love me some bergamot.) today, i decide to open my grov blacks also on the ice tray thing. i pop one in, first thing im thinking, its like a brick, very stiff, even when i try to fluff it, but i think whatever it was just pseudo frozen. i do remember the camel also being super stiff, whatever. so i look in the grov black can a bit more, and theres a layer of ice on the bottom of the can. obviously the mini fridge ice tray areas are only cold enough to freeze water, so i wasnt expecting them to be like FROZEN, but a little extra cold. but whats occurred is all the moisture in the snus settled and froze at the bottom, so i open up my camels, take each one out and fluff them, and its like the ones on top are whites, and the ones on the bottom are like regular portions now, no big deal i wanted to try regular camels anyway. whatever, but i take my grovs out again, and the ice is already getting to the point of completely melted, so i didnt really fluff the snus portions, but i just like tossed them around like a salad (heh) and now theyre all like pretty wet, effectively mutating my grov blacks from being dry white portions to moist regs. which im kind of bummed about because now theyre not really the blacks like i enjoy, and im gonna get a hella burst of falvor/nic when i put them in, and the dryness is what i really like about onyx, because regular moist starks are a bit much too quickly for me (usually. i like the occasional claq qui) also on the ice tray slot were a can of granit whites, a can of general loose, and a can of skruf whites. i dont think itll be a problem for the loose at all, i dont care much for skruf anyway, and the granits will be like the camels, partially white partially regular, no big deal i guess. but the grov blacks i wish i hadnt done it with.

so in summation, if you want your dry shit to stay that way, dont do what i did.

I don´t keep my snus in the freezer, I´ll just keep them in this fridge like the most Swedes usually do

I saw a small wine cooler in the Target sales paper today for $79. It said it had adjustable temperature. I wonder if one of them would work?

I would love to have one of those Montecristo fridges but those are way too pricey. Anyone know of one cheaper?

For those of you that use a small dorm room fridge, does it keep the snus cold enough?

General refrigerators in America are just wine coolers with snus trays. I'm sure you could purchase some cosmetic trays and make your own snus fridge. Hell, that sounds like a fun "project" for me to work on.

Where are the General refrigerators available? Do you have a link?

He probably means the ones at the tobacco shops. They look exactly like wine coolers; they get them directly from Swedish Match.

Check out these small counter top coolers . Not bad at all . I can't decide if I want to buy one , or make one myself .

I have a few thermo-electric plates that I could use if I went the DIY route . My friend has a wine chiller which does not get cold enough to keep beer in . Everyone that I have seen uses thermo-electric plates , which cant bring the temperature down as low as a compressor operated model . Make sure , if you buy one , to check and see what they are rated at . How many degrees below ambient temperature will it go ....

Thanks guys. I like the looks of the wine coolers better than the dorm fridges. I like the idea of being able to look at your stash without opening the door.

Yea, I don't care for popping a snus straight out of the freezer. It's too cold. Fridge is perfect.

I will probably just use the same shelf in my fridge that I keep my Grizzly and Camel snus until I start building up my supply.
