    Lucky Strike can mystery

    Hello again.

Today, I've found new thing, that interresting me.

I think all of you already tryied Lucky Strike snus, original or white (that does not matter) in new can/box. I have found cool thing...

At every container lid is text with random words... "Bjud Lock", "Snus kopp" "Snus lock" etc.
What is that mean? Why is somwhere "Snus Lock" and somwhere "Bjud Kopp"?

    Thank you for help.

(btw: I dipped some Copenhagen now... uh-oh! Tastes like dirty mold...)

A quick trip to Google Translate just left me more confused:

    bjud lock = invite lid
    bjud kopp = invite cup
    snus kopp = snus cup
    snus lock = snus lid

Does it have a space for used snus? If so, they may be advertising that fact. The older Lucky tins didn't have a space for used snus.

Yeah, it has container for used snus, but why is text on the lid so random? It does not makes any sense.

I'm constantly opening my lucky strike tin upside down and dropping portions all over the floor. The stupid bjud kopp is on the bottom instead of the top like in most cans.

Why it has the warning about the snus lid printed on it.

There are many different printings, i looked on a few that say:
                Botten lock =bottom lid
                Snus lock
                Göm Ställe=hiding place

bjud in this sense means to offer someone something, they are implying that you should offer portions from the trash lid to anyone who asks for one. Good way to scare the moochers off

                        Which begs the question

I work in an urban area with a lot of street people hanging out close to where I work. In my smoking days I could never light-up outside the building without getting hit up for a cigarette.

Now, I know that Sweden likely has a better social system then the US, but do you get bums tying to smooch a snus? I have this image of some alcohol (nothing against alcohol) soaking bum (nothing against bums) standing on a street corner (nothing against street corners) trying to bum a snus.

Sorry to answer late, but in my experience this is very rare, it would be more likely that someone asks in a bar if they forgot or lost their can, the most likely place to get hit up for a snus is abroad by another swede, it happened to me several times.

Don't know what that particular LS tin looks like, but I doubt if
anyone would have a problem with the new Catch Pure Mint cans.
