Has any one tried making a tool yourself. I've made several using old bits of hunting arrows and cheap ball point pen barrels. Messy but work well enough. Don't use them much having bought an icetool.
Home made pris tool

i tried to make one with a syringe. it didnt work, the pris would always split into two pieces when i took it out, plus you cant make it that tight (maybe im making it too tight, i dont know) so what i did was to take a 3 ml syringe, cut off about 1/2 inch from the tip so the little tip and some of the syringe were gone.
then i took off the rubber things at the end of the "handle" for 2 syringes, and used two handles, one on each side, to compress the snus.
then i take one handle out and push the pris out with the other handle, when it falls in my hand, i pick it up and pack it in.
here are pictures of the components. this device does not work perfectly, as i said, the pris always splits in 2 if you mishandle it. im currently working on removing this flaw. i can post more pictures of the later incarnations of the device later when i smooth out all the kinks if you guys want. notice that each handle's little thingy that holds the rubber thing has been cut off so it can slid in smoothly, and so that it is no longer air/liquid-proof. this does have the disadvantage of making the handles very messy after you make a pris, but im working on that too. i solved the messiness by putting a double folded empty teabag at the tips of the "injectors" (the handles). this makes it far less messy, but the drawback is that the teabags absorb all the yummy juices that passes by them. its not much, but i feel its probably enough to steal away quiet a bit of nicotine in the long run. in addition, the pris becomes a little bit dry, and while that may help it stay in longer, and prevent a mudslide, it does reduce how fast the nicotine can get to my brain.
in conclusion, since i just use portions when im outside, and make my own pris by hand when im inside, i dont need a pris making tool. therefor, this is an abandoned project because it is not very feasible, and the products are not good enough to warrant further study into the matter.
further exploration will be done on the feasibility of this method in creating my own portions, but before i do that i need to find out how i can seal my portions once the snus is inside. since i dont own a hotpress (though i do own a stove, no doubt its capabilities will be studied at some point in this endeavor), more exotic methods have to be employed. g'day.

Stopped @ Wallgreens and they had a $2.00 syringe with brush. I asked the Pharmacist if they could sell me just a plain 3ml or 4ml syringe. She reached behind the counter and handed me one @ no charge.
Got home and carefully cut the tapered end off with a box cutter. The plunger is already flat on the end. I played around with my remainder of Skruf Stark los and made a few prillas.
Any idea what size "icetool" this matches up to? The diam. is 1/2"

The max measurement/marking with the plunger extended to the max. lists 5ml.ops: Is this how we derive at the size?

Wrap rubber bands or something around the handle to keep the end from pushing through. That makes it a bit easier to use.
