Something I've noticed... a hand-baked pris is slightly more likely to come out in one piece than the ones I can produce with my icetool. The hand-baking, as has been mentioned somewhere before, adds the benefit of skin oils, which add a slight protective surface to the pris and, at least in my case, helps keep everything together.
Today I have about 1/8 tin of General left with me at work; I just brought the tin and left the icetool at home. Part of it is my renewed obsession with baking by hand, but a lot of it is that when you have only a small amount left, using the icetool is kind of like swatting at flies with heavy artillery.

I really only use the Icetool when I'm lazy or if I'm using a snus that doesn't form very well. Landstroms for instance. Even with the Icetool, I have a hard making a pris of Landstroms stay together. Also Offroad Cranberry. I bought a tin just to try it. The flavor is alright, certainly not my favorite, but for some reason it just doesn't like to form and keep its shape. Anyone else have similar experiences with these brands?
Also, if I add a few drops of water to the Landstroms, could this help it form/keep shape better? I like the flavor just fine, but it doesn't stay together nearly as long as the other brands. Even Ettan is easier than this stuff!
And yes, I've also noticed that hand-baked is easier to remove than Icetool pris. The skin oils is a good thought. Never really thought about it before.

No offence but If i printed this kind of posts out and showed at work, people would laugh to death :P It is truly hilarious...
I don't mean to mock you guys though, I understand that it is hard to figure it out by yourself. In Sweden, that is not necessary, since everyone around you are using it all the time :P

Exactly. You're fortunate in that you live right in the heart of where it's not only traditionally produced, it's traditionally consumed. Speaking for myself, I'm not only one of the few snus users in Indiana, I'm probably the only one using the real Swedish product in my city. There aren't a lot of people to turn to for assistance, or from whom to learn by example.
I've often wondered if in countries where (fortunately) the American fast-food obsession isn't all-prevailing, if there are message boards whose subject lines translate to "What condiment is best with fried-potato 'fries'?"If there are any countries left where McDonald's hasn't established a pied-a-terre, that is.
