It's really gonna suck for all the online snus stores for the first 2-3 months after the PACT act takes effect, their sales are gonna be super low. :/ I hope to have at least 8-10 rolls of snus before the pact takes effect. I wish I could afford a vacuum sealer but had to settle with the Zip-loc vacuum bags, seem to be working ok so far.

I was thinking the exact same thing. They're gonna be sitting in their offices playing solitaire, and trying to keep the tumbleweed under control :^D

break in half and stand em up side by side in gallon size you can fit 2 rolls in there and a half roll laying across the top. well 7 tins if you want but a half roll if you like to keep shit even

Ok, got my FoodSaver! Got an order from Northerner as well! Vacuum sealed the 5 rolls up no problem.

Now here's the question: The stuff I sealed today was at room temp. All the rest of my stash is frozen. Should I just take it straight from the freezer and seal it up? Or should I let it thaw first? The stuff in the freezer has some little ice crystals on the outside of the cans even though they are in freezer bags. Do you think trapping that extra moisture in the sealed bag is a bad idea? Come on guys, what do you think

I think you should just seal it up. And quickly, so it doesn't thaw in the mean time.

IMO, the moisture is fine, preferred in fact. My biggest worry is about dryness, not excess moisture (aka freezer burn).

The frost on the outside of the cans is probably the humidity that was captured in the non-vacuumed bags.

Cool, thanks for the response. I just plugged in Bertha (AKA freezer #2) and when she's nice a chill I'll start the magic

I got the rolls of the plastic to seal my snus in. I think they are 11 inch wide by 13 feet long or something like that. I was able to put 6 rolls in each bag. Thats 2 rows of 3 logs vertically. They fit perfectly and I didn't waste any plastic that way. So the package is like 12" x 12" by about 6 inches thick. Works for me. Now if I could only get the wife into one.............

btw, be very carefull..............I had a slight mishap with my vacuum sealer..............

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

at least you didn't try and stick yer pecker into it.

I made variety bags of Grov, N&J, and others so that I don't have to reseal. I figure a roll of portions would last me about a month if I use a couple two three cans of los as well. I can see that happening this summer and with more time off of work I might even lean further to the los side. Who knows. This way I will pretty much always have fresh snus.

                            Preservation option

I am a noob, so i haven't any xpertise as yet, with snus, but as a hunter, who preserves game cuts of meat and birds, i ( in order to save money) always at top of list lately, use "space bags". The ones for putting clothes and crap in. Come in alot of sizes, no special machine needed. Except for your home vacuumn cleaner that is. Suck all the air out,( main cause of decomp, if you will.) They reduce size and refrigerate great, freeze ok, if you don't overhandle. Just my 2 cents. Cheers!

Thanks for this as I was just about to start another thread asking the age old question that I couldn't seem to find via search... What about us P-boys who don't wanna invest just yet in a vacuum sealer... Now where to get these space bags? Say Walmart.... Food or hunting section?
