I bought those bags from Amazon, super fast shipping and the paper quality is different that the tea bag. looks more porous, it is more see thru, did not try them yet but compared to a lipton tea bag:
    brand Lipton Amazon
    Length 5.01" 8.66"
    Width 3.58" 3.15"

will post here later when I make a portion

I'm gonna have to try the tea-bag thing, since I now have a bunch of los, and I'm not a big fan of it, because it mashes into my teeth and I get mudslides.

I do this, but with coffee filters. I cut 3 of the ruffled ridges per portion, which means I get ten portions out of one coffee filter. I do one click on a 3 ml Icetool and plop it onto the narrowest part of the coffee fliter, then roll up the filter like a joint, I mean a cig. Once rolled, I smush it flat before folding the ends over and toss them into a snus tin and place it in the fridge. I have to have a baby mini sized portion, because even minis are too much nic for me. However, coffee filters are cheap, I don't have to pay shipping on them, I don't have to wait to get them in the mail and the material seems to allow better absorption than premade snus portions, and most importantly, I no longer get niccups with these custom portions, even if I am not drinking anything at all with the portion. And I have never had a portion fall apart, not even after 3-4 hours.

                    Here's the coffee filter method:

                    1. Cut the outer edge of the coffee filter:

                    2. Place the snus on the filter piece:

                    3. Roll it up like a hand-rolled ciggie:

                    (To be continued...)

                      4. Flatten it:

                      5. Fold the ends under and press it even flatter:

                      6. Toss them in a can and get on with your life:

Interesting you buy a 40 dollar stainless can to keep your "I am to cheap to buy portions" self portioned snus in.

Eh who am I kidding I am just jealous of your fancy can. I have tried using teabags, in my head coffee filters seem to thick, but I am going to try it tonight and see.

My methods are more like the following:

                          1. OMG! Extra starks are PURE MADNESS! Someone PLEASE SHOOT ME before I EVER do an extra stark again.

                          2. Why are these regular portions so damn HIGH in nicotine? I can't even pop one in unless I am drinking liquids, because I get the niccups EVERY TIME.

                          then it became:

                          3. Why are these mini portions so damn HIGH in nicotine.? You would think a 4 mg dose SHOULD be light enough for an ultralight smoker for all but 3 of the last 28.5 years. But then again, considering Marlboro ultralights were too damn strong for me and make me feel as if every blood vessel in my head is about to pop, maybe I need an even lighter nicotine hit than minis can give me.

                          now it's

                          3. Damn I can't believe it took me this long to find a portion I could use without liquids and be niccup free. Thank $IMAGINARY-DIETY-OF-YOUR-CHOICE for loose snus, coffee filters and one click of a 3 ml Icetool.

I LOVE that friggin' can. I DO NOT leave the house without that can. I feel like I have stepped up in the world, going from cigs and a lighter to this can that I LOVE to pull out in public.

To me, the coffee filters seem less thick than the portion material. My perception is absorption is better. I suppose it would depend on the particular filters used and I've no idea what kind of filters these are.

                            Hmmm,
I just tried the coffee filter method, but I only had the natural brown filters, and I think they might be thicker, as it "works", but it seems a bit on the thick side. I put a pris of Offroad Frosted in it, and have it in now, and yeah, it's coming through.... but I'm thinking a standard coffee filter, the white kind would be better, but actually, I think a tea bag might even be better, which I will try a tea bag later, maybe tomorrow. But I have all this los, from the big V2 special, and I always liked the taste, and the whole vibe of loose snus, but I don't like how it all mashes in my teeth, which is why I never jumped on the los wagon. So, I'll try a tea bag next.

a review for that tea paper bags from Amazon, personally didn't like them as they will not fold properly like the original tea bag, not using them anymore, 3$ down the drain

I do this for freshness, the portions made from Los are great you also get to control the size and amount of Snus.
