shrinking pris

After several not-so-successful attempts of having a pris of lös stay firmly under my upper lips I finally managed to get the trick. Maybe it's because I used another brand (Diplomat instead of Göteborgs rapé), maybe because I really learned how to keep it there, who knows.
I even fell asleep for like some four hours or so with the lös staying in place what makes me kinda proud because I had only managed to do so with portion snus before. One strange thing happened though: one hour or so after I woke up I went for a new pris and removed the old one. This was when I noticed that the pris had shrunk in size and had become quite dry and dense, one thing I had never noticed before. Now I want to know if anyone has made the same experience and if this is supposed to be like this. I actually wonder if I swallowed part of the pris whie sleeping or if a pris really becomes smaller if it is just left in place without tipping onto it with the tongue (a thing I always do while awake - just cannot leave it).
I don't want to swallow snus while sleeping so I'm a litte bit concerned now...

I think you probably swallowed some snus. I wouldn't worry about it though. I always eat a fair amount of the lös snus I use. If there's a problem with swallowing snus, then there's a problem with snus in general, and it probably shouldn't be used at all ;^)

Yeah, it seems just not avoidable to eat small portions of it. But I don't want to find myself one morning having swallowed the whole pris :-)

That makes sense, over all because I actually have problems breathing through my nose and always seem to breath through the mouth while sleeping. Didn't think of this, though, thanks for pointing me towards this!

I wouldn't worry about it if you do. Remember, that snus is regulated a food item in Sweden, so it has to be made to the same standards as any other food.

I don't know. I too have noticed that when I place a pris of loose, after a couple hours it has shrunk sifficiently. Maybe just the tobacco compressing under my lip?

You comsume the moisture out of the pris so that is to be expected.j
