It's been almost a month for me, and I drink nightly. Loose snus really fills the cigarette void a lot more than portions while drinking. I think because it requires quite a bit more coordination.

      It isn't the cigs...

It is what to do while drinking and inbetween drinks with your hands. Nervousness and having something to do with them. When you are aware this is the problem half the battle is won. Spin your can on the table top or hug your girl.

Snussing and drinking is all about preparation IMO. You must pop a thick lip before the drinking or your doomed, because of what people had said before, cigs give you instant nicotine. If you can get a good nic-wave before that first sip of your preferred poison, I think your golden.

          Yes...

I Snus all the time also so it does not effect me. I once, in the not so distant past, chain smoked.

I've been out drinking three or four times and you have to have your "NIC" on before, during, and after.

Just recently I regained a lot of my ability to smell so the smoke smell is turning me off from lighting up myself. Just something I can live without being about my person.

It will take time but you will overcome the urge.

Try using lös blond. You get a huge nicotine kick right away. I've found the best way to do it is by baking it on the roof of your mouth, the cheek's not bad either.
Don't be too shy about swollowing some (snus is healthier than most things we put in our mouths).
It was a pain in the ass not to smoke and drink at first (smoke and drive, smoke and read, smoke and screw...) Now I can't stand the smell of cigarettes drunk or sober.

I have found that the snus tends to take on the flavor of what I am drinking. Is it just me?
Mind you I am not complaining.

I'm a heavy drinker and a former smoker, and I've never had any problems with needing to smoke while I drink (since I started using snus). People smoke more cigarettes while they are intoxicated because alcohol excretes nicotine out of your blood stream through excessive urination. I would recommend chain-snusing while you drink to keep cigarette (nicotine) cravings at bay.

while I am new to Snus and have only tried the Camel Type (I am ordering some real stuff in a day or two) What I did was switch to Redman chewing Tobacco(which is potent as hell) and only chewed like twice a day to taper my bodies nicotine tolerance off for like a week, then I went to the Camel Snus which seems weak as hell and two of those in my upper lip seems to do the trick.

^I think Camel snus has very low levels of nicotine as well.
