    Prismaster question

Well, I broke down on my latest order and decided to get some loose. I just put my first pris in and it seems to be going ok, doesn't really feel at all like a portion, but that's probably because I just put my pris in the center my of upper lip. I read that I should avoid further to the left or right at least at first.

So I can't read Swedish (or German?) so I had to guess at how to use the prismaster. Basically, I used 1/2 of the prismaster and drove it into the snus (knox if you're curious) and packed it real tight against my thumb. Then, this is my question, I slid the pris straight up into my gums. Now should I have gone at an angle instead? Or is straight up the right way to do it?

I almost made the mistake I see others on here have made of putting the snus in the wrong end . I figured it out before I made that error, but it made me laugh that it was pretty easy to do.

I'm just now getting some mud mouth, but I don't care. I'm just swallowing it, it doesn't seem to be a problem anyway.

I'll probably try handbaking in a couple days once I get this down .

It doesn't help that I'm tongue tied, so I can really get my tongue very far in front of my teeth to clean up the mud... It's a really good thing my wife is asleep so no one can see this!

You are correct, it goes in straight up. The Prismaster makes a fairly chuck pris. They sit too low on my gums for my liking. The Icetool ejects sideways and creates a much more natural feeling Pris, IMO. If you plan on continuing the use of loose snus I would recommend purchasing an Icetool.

I mostly bake by hand and always put the snus first on my tongue and then under the lip. Everybody just has to find an own way. Overall it's just a matter of practice and a bit of experimenting.

      Cheers!

Ok, I think I'm starting to get the Prismaster . I have to make a pris that's >1/2 the total size it seems to go, but if I make it much bigger it'll look like I have a really big brown tooth! I still want the pris to be up in my gums and not on my teeth so if I have to put it straight up then that's now big it needs to be. No matter though, you guys weren't kidding about the nic kick from los! Holy smokes! It feels a LOT stronger than any other portion I've tried. Maybe I'm just strange, or I'm making a much bigger pris than I think I am, but wow, it's strong - very nice!

I tried hand baking today, and I just had to abort. I couldn't get that stuff to stick together in my hand to save my soul! I worked on it for more than 5 minutes, but no go. I figured, how hard could it be? Well, a lot harder than I expected. It's time to watch Zero's video again for the 50th time .

When I use the Prismaster I really have no trouble with mud mouth, I've spent a lot of time with portions learning to just let it sit so I'd have that down if I ever tried los. At least that practice wasn't for naught.

When I pack my IceTool(and I guess Prismaster if I ever use it again :^P), I fill it in the expected way, and then press the tool into the bottom of the tin, and compress it there. I then brush off the bits around the edge, and insert the pris. If the snus has a paperboard tin I compress the snus on the inside of the lid. This keeps you from getting a brown spot on your thumb, and is a little neater in general.
