They're supposed to be discreet, tobacco bits. I believe you put them in between your lower cheek and gumline and just let it sit.

Yeah, i mean I get how they are used, I just don't understand the point. As in: why not just snus?

And to update, I will ship on Monday.

The box went out to /dev/null today.

I added a can of Prima, which is not the strongest taste you can get from a loose, but is one of the easiest to bake. I also added a can of ettan portion. Most of the stuff in there is flavored, so I wanted to get some plain tobacco and loose in on the action.

Powdered crap, judging from the ones I tried once.

Well, it seems that this box pass has been marked by disinterest and unfortunate circumstance from the outset, and our current situation is no exception. I mailed the box out a week ago to /dev/null, and have sent him/her a pm inquiring about it, and have received no response. I am not saying that we should write it off completely or anything, just updating anyone that is still interested.

I apologize to all involved, but thems the breaks, I guess. I will let you know if I hear anything.

No, the box pass is definitely still on. I just received the box today; long story short, USPS apparently doesn't even bother with trying to deliver if they don't see a car in the open, and I didn't have the time to pick it up myself until today.

Christ, this thing is packed, and I'm only adding even more to it. I'll try to figure out which ones I like and have it sent out by Thursday.

My impressions as a noob so far for anyone curious (to be edited as I sample the open cans I've selected for now):

Thunder Frosted ES is the most important invention ever devised by man.
This jasmine snuff is possibly the worst thing I've ever put into my body.
I don't quite understand the point of this Stonewall dissoluble nonsense. It's supposed to be intended for smokeless users when they can't spit, I guess.
                    Jakobsson's Icefruit is surprisingly great.
                    General Wintergreen isn't bad either.
I was a little nervous about Nordic Ice mint because of the painfully overpowering mint scent on opening the can, but it's actually not bad. Kind of like a less crappy Camel Frost.
L.D.'s alright. Reminds me of a less potent Granit flavor.

I am glad to hear you got it.

I didn't try the jasmine snuff because it...err....smelled like jasmine. But I am sure your evaluation is correct.

And those stonewall dissolvibles are just too much. I understand that my relationship with tobacco has developed into little more than nicotine maintenance, but tobacco pills? I'm not to that point yet.

And you are right, this box seems to be doing nothing but growing. We might want to consider adding people on at the end, as the forum seems to be picking up new people everyday.

I've never done a box pass and I'd love to get in on one.

If someone would educate me on protocol, etc.

I work from home and live like 2 blocks from a post office, so I would be a fast stop.

Same here, except that it's my office that's 2 blocks from the P.O. And I would also like to participate in a box pass.

I too, wouldn't mind participating in a Box Pass, I am sure the Post Office is farther away than 2 blocks but 1 minute away by car. LOL

So, did anyone figure out if we could still use the USPS for the box passes? Since its not a financial transaction and no tax would be due but I am not sure if they mean they will stop delivering tobacco products altogether.

I don't see how they could ban private citizens from sending tobacco through the mail under current US postal law, if it's not a business transaction. They'd have to classify it as a hazardous material to do that. Of course, given the current anti-tobacco climate, it might come to that one day, but we're not there yet, thank goodness.
