    Bad experience with BuySnus.com

    After trying out Marlboro Snus, I decided to try out Swedish snus for the first time.

    I placed an order with BuySnus.com (ordered a roll of General Mint, two cans of Oden's [liquorice and cinnamon], and a Prismaster).

    I just received the package today and the two Oden's were completely destroyed [the cans were cracked and the tobacco juice was leaking out]. The snus is also soggy (of one of the not so damaged General Mint cans) and I did not receive the Prismaster I ordered.

    Also, I only received 9 cans of General Mint (when I ordered a full roll of 10!)

    I sent an e-mail to the website, I hope they fix the issue.

      Probably an isolated incident.. They'll make it right. I've done two orders with them and they were good

        Can anyone recommend another snus shop to try next time? I heard some bad things about Northerner, but I'm a bit surprised with BuySnus (based on the good reviews I've read).
        Why do people find their first urge is to complain to a bunch of people they don't know on the internet....... Contact the company, get satisfaction and be done with it. If you get no satisfaction then try again, if no satisfaction then complain........

          Buysnus is a good company, and they should take care of you. If you want to try someone else, Northerner's pretty good also. There's offshoots and subsidiaries of each, but they are the 2 big players in snus.

            Probably an isolated incident and just your luck... Just like any good restaurant can have an off day.. I have used SnusCentral 2 times with no problems and it ships from BuySnus, They'll make it right...

              In reality Northerner/GetSnus are subsidiaries of eachother and then BuySnus/SnusCentral.... So you have 4 choices, But really only 3 because Getsnus has fallen off the grid a bit.

              Just my opinion, But the best would be in this order... SnusCentral... BuySnus... Northerner.. GetSnus

                There's no need to be hostile. I'm not 'complaining', just sharing my experience so far. As I said before, I did send them an e-mail and I'll let you all know how it goes. Just thought I would share my first impressions.

                Thanks for the tip. I'll see how it goes with BuySnus, but I'll be sure to try out SnusCentral next time.

                  The damaged package is the fault of UPS. There is probably something BuySnus can do to stop this from happening but it's not their fault. He should give BuySnus the courtesy of trying to help him resolve it .

                  I received my Post-Pact order undamaged but I can see how it can happen. I got two rolls of snus wrapped in a plastic UPS envelope. Apparently UPS is not being careful with it's handling of packages and is smashing the packages. Buysnus could use cardboard boxes, this might prevent some of the damage, it might increase shipping costs though. They shouldn't have to resort to better packaging but it might be in their best interest.

                    UPS is a terrible shipper. Years ago when I bought American Spirit tobacco through post(called the company to make an order :^D), they'd ship it UPS, and many times the boxes would be mangled, with deep dents in the cans. It didn't matter since it was just tobacco, but anything remotely delicate would have been destroyed.

                      ... and I am giving them the courtesy to help resolve it. I'm only sharing my first impressions, is all.

                      I can understand the damage being on UPS' part, but I'm still missing 1 can of snus and the Prismaster tool.

                      I'll wait for their response and let you know how it goes.

                        That sucks man. Yeah UPS sucks ass but Buysnus did mess up on your order as well. I don't blame you for venting. Hell, I'm a big Buysnus fan but if it happened to me I'd be on here bitching about it, too. Some people get a little defensive when it comes to "their" suppliers, but at the end of the day you are the customer and it's your hard-earned money you chose to spend with them. I bet they make it right though.

                            My last snus order, and my first with Buysnus, had similar results. It was a 15 can order and 2 were the wrong snus and 2 others were damaged in shipping. They need to use boxes for shipping or use a better bubble wrap to avoid the damage problems.

                            I suspect you will have the same result as me: I emailed them and about a week later they responded saying they credited my card for the damaged snus. No harm, no foul but I would rather not go through these problems when they could implement an easy fix by protecting their product better during shipping.

                              I wrote to them years ago suggesting boxes. I've always thought an envelope was a peculiar way to ship something fairly large and heavy. I guess it works most of the time, but you also get issues like this.
