Question for people who order through UPS in America?

I am 20 tho you can purchase tobacco when 19 in my state (most states are only 18) you have to be 21 to order through UPS becasue of the stupid PACT ACT. So if I were to order tobacco under 21 through the mail would UPS care? Do they really check your ID upon delivery? And if they do would they just let you sign if you are under 21? I have heard people say that they don't even care for alcohol so would they really care for snus?
If anyone in America has experience dealing with UPS I would like to hear it.

I've never had them check my ID. They just have me sign for the package. I have also had UPS deliver snus to my office, and other much younger looking employees have signed for it on my behalf without being IDed. I'm 29, but I get carded every time I buy liqour or enter a nightclub.

I wouldn't worry. Just order it. If they refuse to give you the package, just go to the UPS center with someone who is 21 and they could sign for you.

We don't order through UPS! The venders due to PACT ship via UPS with adult signature required and yess my UPS mans makes me sign.
USPS isn't allowed to carry Tobacco products I have been led to understand, The postmaster asked me the other day among other thing does this package contain tobacco. Hope that helps you understand. Oh Yeah it is the vender that must verify age before selling.

Not the best advice here. If UPS delivers to a business, its a bit different. If UPS delivers to a residence, yes, they will make you sign, and you must be 21 to sign. Stupid as hell since you only need to be 18 to buy tobacco, but thats they way it is. Thats why I have my snus delivered to my work now. No one is at my home to sign. But if you have no one over 21 to sign for it, then don't get it delivered by UPS.

          ID?

Just my two cents I live in WI and have ordered snus a few times now. Im 24 and look like im almost 30. The three UPS drivers that have delivered to me have just taken a good look and said "I think you look like youre over 21" implying that if I wasnt they would ask. One of the drivers thought it was wine and apparently he was a wine guy. I told him it was tobacco and he gave me a strange look and said then why is it an adult over 21? I told him sarcasticaly that our government is FUBAR and he said haha yeah tell me about it. I assume if you are 20 and they card you just tell them what it is and they will likely use common sense seeing that the legal age in your state is 19.

You are wrong. What difference does it make if UPS delivers to a home or a business if the instructions are that it can only be left with someone who is 21? The fact that the delivery address is a business does not negate the requirements of PACT. My point in mentioning the orders I have sent to work was to illustrate that folks much younger than me have signed with no issues.

My advice was for Tregs to just order the snus, and if for some reason he gets unlucky with a Nazi UPS delivery person he could easily sort it out with UPS and the assistance of a slightly older friend/relative.

Order your snus. You are of legal age to enjoy it.

my regular ups guy just ask me if i am (my name), i say yes and he makes me sign. Every other time i have had different ups guy they card me. i am 50 and look older. so if you are less than 21 then you better either be friends with your ups guy or have someone else sign for it. i have had other people sign for me without hassles but all over 21.

Never had UPS ask me if I am (my name) or ask for my id and I have had several different drivers deliver my snus...YMMV.

I highly doubt that they'll check your ID. The UPS drivers just want to release the package so they don't have to come back tomorrow. You will have to sign for it though.

Yea, UPS just wants a signature. My UPS guy asked for my id so I just had my parents sign for it and it was all good.

When my VIP came they dropped it on the porch, so i guess it's just luck of the draw.

I had it delivered to my college mailsot and I just pick it up. It won't be an issue in five months though.

UPS around here WILL NOT leave the packages at my door or even at the apartment leasing office (where most normal deliveries end up). and I'm always at work when they come so end up having to drive to the other side of town to pick up. I hate it. I used to love finding my mailbox stuffed to the max with swedish post envelopes.

Not today though! Federal holiday, no work for me. I get to be home to sign.

Ive only placed 1 order since PACT. I was home when the ups guy got here but i was in the shower, so he just left the package.. i have a feeling he signed for me.
