I remember when cigarettes were 35 cents a pack back around 1970.
I blame government, they tax something, sales go down, manufacturers and distributors raise prices to make up for lost sales.

And if someone doesn't follow the official line and raise their prices too then their product has high levels of bacteria it's beginning to make sense now.
